On Monday morning, Prim observed the noticeable shift in everyone's mood. The previous days had seen the group navigating through a mix of emotions, but now there was a profound lightness in the air. Sun, Alpha, and especially Ongsa all seemed more at ease and vibrant as they prepared for another busy day ahead.
Prim, ever the observant one, noticed the subtle changes. Sun's usual calm appearance was tinged with a rare, easy-going smile, a plain contrast to the tension she had previously carried. Alpha, too, exuded a sense of relief and happiness that had been absent for quite some time. Her interactions were warmer, her laughter more frequent.
Ongsa, however, was the most striking transformation. Her appearance was noticeably softer, her interactions more open and genuine. There was a lightness in her step and a brightness in her eyes that Prim hadn't seen in a while. She moved through the morning with a renewed energy, clearly benefiting from whatever happened to them.
Prim approached Sun with a friendly smile. "You all seem so different today—more relaxed and cheerful. What happened over the weekend?"
Sun looked at Prim, her smile widening. "We had fun over the weekend, it's been a while."
Prim nodded, understanding the impact of their recent experiences. "It sounds like the weekend was a turning point for everyone. I'm really happy to see the positive changes."
Sun agreed, her eyes reflecting the optimism she felt. "Yes, it really was. It's like a fresh start for all of us."
As Sun's phone rang, Fourth's name flashed on the screen. Prim, noticing the call, couldn't help but smile. Sun excused herself from the Prim and answered the call.
"Hello, Fourth," Sun said, her tone light but with an edge of firmness.
"Sun, why haven't you been answering my calls and texts?" Fourth's voice came through with a hint of frustration.
Sun took a deep breath, ready to address the issue. "You know my girlfriend is a jealous person, and I don't usually look at my phone when I am with her, I told you right, she's my everything and no one else matter after"
"Hoh, you're simp Sun, I didn't know this is how you fall in love, I am so happy to finally say that I am happy for you" Fourth said sincerely.
Sun smiled, "Thank you, I promise, when things get better, I will let both of you meet."
Fourth sighed, his frustration momentarily subdued. "I am waiting for that because I have a lot of stories to tell"
"No, you don't" Sun said laughing.
"Okay, then, see you soon"
"See you soon, Fourth, bye bye"
As Sun reached her desk, Luke walked in with a stack of papers and a casual greeting. Both of them received an email from the company, instructing them to wrap up their current tasks and prepare to return to the main head office. Sun's face fell slightly as she read through the email.
Luke noticed her expression and tilted his head. "I bet with that expression; you don't want to go back anymore"
Sun sighed; her gaze fixed on her desk as she gathered her thoughts. "I've already decided a while ago, Luke. I'm resigning and will settle here. I want to take some time to rest, be with my family, and spend time with Ongsa." She hesitated, realizing she hadn't mentioned her relationship with Ongsa.
Luke raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile on his face. "You don't have to worry about me knowing about you and Ongsa. It's pretty obvious. Are you trying to hide it?"
