My eyes opened and I glanced outside the window, noticing it was still dark outside. Then I saw the time; it was 2:30 in the morning. I felt heaviness in my chest. I slowly turned to see Athwa lying beside me, his hand inside my top, cupping my tit.

This asshole!

He must have sneaked into my suite when I was asleep. He's sleeping like a baby, with slightly parted lips and softly snoring.

I sighed, slightly moving back from him, but he shifted towards me, his palm clenching my breast, and he placed his head into my neck. He inhaled deeply before releasing. His hot breath was fanning against my neck, making goosebumps all over my body. He is sleeping, like he hasn't in years.

I quietly laid there until his breathing had turned even, with a gentle rise and fall that suggested he was still asleep.

My heart pounded in my chest as I carefully removed his hand, trying not to wake him. Each movement felt amplified, the slightest rustle of sheets sounding like thunder in the silent room.

I slipped out of bed, my feet silently hitting the plush carpet. My eyes flicked to Athwa, who remained motionless. Relief washed over me as I realised he was still asleep. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves, and tiptoed towards the door.

I couldn't leave without saying goodbye to Suzaine. She had been my rock for the past six years, offering me the kind of unconditional love and support I desperately needed.

I took a car from the hotel and made my way to Suzaine's house. It was a four hour drive, and I am sure if I drove faster, maybe I could make it back by the time he woke up.

Soon, the familiar path calmed me slightly, though my heart remained heavy with the impending farewell. I knocked softly on the door, and a few moments later, Suzaine opened it, her face lighting up with a warm smile.

She pulled me into a tight hug.

"Hi, Suzaine," I signed, my hands trembling slightly.

She led me inside, and we sat down in the cosy living room. The walls were adorned with various pottery pieces we had made together over the years. I felt a pang of sadness, knowing I would be leaving all of this behind.

"You are back?" Suzaine asked, her eyes filled with concern as she noticed my troubled expression.

I shook my head, answering her question. "I'm leaving. Athwa found me, and I have to go back to India with him."

"Why, Taara? Why do you have to go with him?" she signed, her face etched with worry.

"He... he's not giving me a choice," I explained, my hands shaking as I signed.

She pulled me into another hug. I felt her motherly love and concern enveloping me, and it broke my heart to think of leaving her.

"I wish you didn't have to go," she signed once we pulled apart.
