Dan sat across the table from me in the lounge at The Naughty Kitten, guiding me into a part of his life I had not yet experienced. There were no assumptions about my limits or desires. Our sex life at home didn't carry forward into the club. I completed the questionnaire as if I hadn't ever met him before that night. As much as I wanted to just get on with it, rush into a playroom and be dominated, I had to let the process follow its course. I wanted the full experience and answering those questions was part of it. If anything, it made me appreciate him more.
"Bridget, this is how our time will play out. You will go into the changing room and get yourself ready. I will be doing the same. Just follow me, I'll show you where to get yourself ready," Dan said as he stood up.
I followed Dan out of the lounge towards a hallway. "When you are ready, you will return to the lounge." His hand gestured back towards the bar while we continued to walk. "I will be waiting there for you. If you take a seat at the bar or a table, I will approach you. Or you may approach me, instead."
I nodded, recalling everything he had explained in the car on the drive to the club, but allowed him to continue to go over it all again.
I rushed through preparations and headed back into the lounge fifteen minutes after Dan showed me to the change room. I wore an authentic looking blue plaid school uniform with my hair done up in a high ponytail. There were so many different role-play scenarios that came to mind when I spotted that outfit in my costume closet. And even as I made the walk towards Dan, I hadn't completely decided which I wanted to run with. Was I going to be a student meeting her teacher for extra help? Perhaps a lost high school girl that might be seduced by the charm of a businessman. I needed to decide before I joined him at the table or walked past to step up to the bar.
I put on my best 'frightened girl in a strange place' kind of look at passed the table, moving hesitantly towards the bar. My head jerked side to side as if I was searching for something while I stood at the rail and waited to get the bartender's attention.
The warmth of a hand gently coming to rest on the middle of my back jolted me from my feigned search and directed my eyes towards the owner of that hand. "Hello," Dan said as he leaned into my field of view.
"Oh, Mr. Brock!" I said as my eyes and head turned to look beyond Dan's shoulder. "What are you doing here? Is Millie with you? I— I could really use my best friend right now."
"Oh, no Bridget, Millie is at home with her mother. It's just me, here. I should ask you what you are doing here," he said. "This isn't the kind of place a girl like you should be."
I had followed Dan's instructions and set up a best friend's dad kind of scenario, hoping he would catch on. He did. Dan was nowhere near old enough to be the father of a high school girl's best friend, but that didn't matter. I was playing down my age and he seemed comfortable enough to add a few years to his to fit the role.
"My good man!" Dan said as he got the attention of the bartender. "A Dr. Pepper, if you will."
Dan guided me to his table and aided me in taking a seat before dropping onto his. "Why are you out at this hour?" he asked. "And in this storm?"
"I went to the mall after school, then I think I got on the wrong bus and—" Dan placed a hand on mine and captured me with a caring gaze. "The bus driver said I would have to change to a different bus, so I waited at the bus stop across the street, but none came. It was a scary out there."
The bartender delivered my drink to the table and handed a bill to Dan for his signature.
"That's horrible. But you're safe here, now." His fingers caressed the back of my hand while his eyes held mine. "Roads are flooded all over the city, and I'm told the power has gone out in our neighborhood. We'll wait out the storm together. Here."
