Orm's POV

"Go inside first then talk."

I walked into the bar with Prigkhing, looking for a less crowded spot to sit and chat.

"Tell me, did you and P'Ling rekindle your old flame?"

"Well, we're still married."

"Ohhhhh, really?!"

Lingling's POV:

"Long time no see, bro."

"Come on, we just saw each other the other day. So, what’s up? Trouble with Nong Orm or something else?"

"Just friends hanging out, do we need to be so formal, Khun Ying?"

Flashback

X/X/2007 - LOOTW High School

"Yahhhh Prigkhing, give me back that ice cream!" - Ying frowned.

"Just let me have a bite!"

"Lingling Kwong, pay me back for that money you borrowed earlier!” - I jumped to reach the 100 baht bill that Lingling was holding high above.

"It's mine now, don't even think about taking it!" - She stuck out her tongue.

It was a chaotic scene of four senior girls at a convenience store. Despite the ruckus, they were all top students. All four were among the best-performing students at the prestigious LOOTW high school. They were all children of wealthy and powerful families. They were talented and beautiful. No one in the area, not even students from neighboring schools, was unaware of them.

Among them, the oldest and most beautiful was Lingling Kwong. Lingling was older than the other three because she was supposed to be studying abroad in Italy. However, she insisted on coming back to Thailand to study in order to manage her family's company more easily in the future. The next oldest was Ying Ananda. Ying was stunning but had a cool demeanor. Her cold and collected nature made younger students swoon over her. When together with the other three, she would team up with Lingling to tease the two younger ones. The two younger ones, Orm and Prigkhing, were born in the same year; they should have been in the 10th grade, but their parents insisted they start school early, so they ended up skipping ahead to the 12th grade. Whenever they encountered difficult material, they would simply ask Ying or Lingling for help. Nevertheless, the four of them were still the top scholars in the whole school. Almost everyone came to school just to see who would take the first place that month. If it wasn't Lingling, it was Ying or Orm or Prigkhing. No one could match their academic prowess.

They competed for the top rank not out of envy, but because they had a deal. The ones who came in third and fourth would have to treat the first and second place winners to a big meal for a whole week.

Immediately after finishing their first semester exams, the entire school gathered in a corner of the yard to find out who ranked first this time. Whispers filled the air:

"Who came in first?"

"Make way!" - Some pushed each other to get a better view.

At that moment, the four of them arrived. Everyone parted to create a small pathway for the four. They were children of affluent families, and everyone respected them, but they were not arrogant or entitled, which only increased their admiration from their peers.
