St. Margret College had been unusually quiet for the past month, with students enjoying their leisure time without the usual chaos. The reason for the tranquility was Abhimanyu's month-long suspension for brutally assaulting a boy who had accidentally spilled coffee on him. The boy, already intimidated, was lifted by his collar and slammed onto the canteen table, which broke under the impact. Abhimanyu continued to beat him until he started bleeding from his nose and mouth. Witnesses were too afraid to intervene, fearing they would face Abhimanyu's wrath.
Sanchi, however, had the courage to report the incident to the principal, who immediately called for medical assistance and suspended Abhimanyu for a month. No further action was taken due to Abhimanyu's influential connections as the son of a trustee.
Today, Abhimanyu's suspension had ended, and to everyone's surprise, he showed up in class, scanning the room for someone. It didn't take long to guess who he was looking for - Sanchi. As he spotted her engrossed in a book, he strode towards her and slammed his hand on her table, making a loud bang.
Sanchi remained unfazed, her eyes fixed on the pages of her book, as Abhimanyu slammed his hand on her table. The rest of the class, however, sprang to their feet, sensing the escalating tension. "I'm here to talk to you," Abhimanyu growled, his voice low and menacing.
Sanchi didn't flinch, her voice steady as she replied, "I'm in no mood to talk to you. Please don't disturb me." She didn't even bother to look up, her gaze still fixed on the book.
Abhimanyu's anger boiled over at her nonchalance. With a swift motion, he snatched the book from her hands, tore it in half, and hurled it into the dustbin. The class gasped in shock, but Sanchi's expression remained calm, her eyes never leaving the spot where her book had lain.
Sanchi's palm connected with Abhimanyu's cheek in a resounding slap
The class gasped in shock, their eyes wide with disbelief. Abhimanyu's face stung with pain, his cheek reddening from the force of the slap. Sanchi, her eyes blazing with a fierce determination, stood tall, her chest heaving with emotion. She had never dared to defy Abhimanyu like this before, and even she was surprised by her own boldness.
Without a word, Sanchi turned and stormed out of the class, leaving Abhimanyu seething with anger and humiliation. He took off after her, determined to catch her and make her pay for her defiance. Just as he was about to grab her wrist, a hand clamped down on his shoulder, spinning him around.
It was Kabir, his eyes flashing with a warning. "Leave her alone, Abhimanyu," he growled, his voice low and even. "Don't even think about it," Kabir warned, his voice firm and commanding.Sanchi spun around, her eyes welling up with tears. As she gazed at Abhimanyu and Kabir, her expression conveyed a deep emotional pain, as if her very soul was being torn apart.
Abhimanyu snorted, shrugging off Kabir's hand. "You'd better save that advice for your girlfriend," he sneered, his eyes glinting with malice. "For some reason, she's obsessed with me. Maybe she can't resist my charm."
"She's not obsessed with you, Abhimanyu," Kabir said, his voice firm and even. "It's you who can't seem to leave her alone. Try to touch her once, and I swear, it'll be the last day you'll be standing on two legs."
Abhimanyu sneered, his eyes flashing with contempt. "Oh, really? So, you'? Miss Sanchi's pet? I guess she's teaching you to speak, too. Don't think too highly of yourself, Kabir. It won't take much for me to dig your grave right here, right now."
Kabir's gaze never wavered, his eyes locked intensely on Abhimanyu's. The air was thick with tension as the two boys faced off, their anger and hostility palpable.
Sanchi swiftly intervened, positioning herself between the two boys. She grasped Kabir's hand, her touch a calming influence, and began to walk away with him. Abhimanyu's face twisted in rage as he shouted after them. "You too, Mr. and Ms. Fake Couple! I know your reality! Stay out of my business, or else... One more complaint against me, and it'll be the last day for both of you in this college!"
His words echoed down the corridor, a venomous threat that hung in the air. Sanchi and Kabir didn't look back, their footsteps steady as they walked away from the toxic confrontation. Abhimanyu's angry shouts grew fainter, but the tension lingered, a palpable sense of unease that settled over the scene.
