Welcome! to what has essentially rotted my brain and my google sheets account since October of last year-
I love fire emblem, I love xikers (and other groups) so of course the next step of action was to meld the two
I didn't really do an intro on the version that's posted on AO3 but there's not a tag system i can use for warnings so that's what this is for :> Plus i made my cousin who proofreads this a handy map to remember where everyone's from so i thought maybe it'd help as well here? (she says she's not "fanfic brained" so she forgets who's from where often)
General Stuff! ༓Yes this is specifically based off of Fire Emblem Three Houses, and while i haven't changed place names I have changed the house names ༓This doesn't follow the events of the game to a T it's more of a loose interpretation at the very beginning and then it drifts into its own v quickly (well quick in my mind) ༓Every chapter is a different POV (marked) and the main character's are xikers but it doesn't mean anyone else is shoved into a corner ༓IMO you don't have to have played the game to enjoy this? At least I hope so :> Nothing from the game beyond locations and references make it out of there and into here. Either way I hope you give it a chance ༓(in all honesty this is very much a character driven relationship story that just happens to take place at an academy in the middle of three nations that'll be at war later on but you didn't hear that from me)
Warnings! Because this is a story taking place at an officer's academy and they will be fighting especially in later chapters: -Blood and Injury -Gore -Death and Near Death -Classism (strong themes of noble vs commoner) Any further warnings will be at the beginnings of chapters but if there's anything I miss please let me know
