Politics

Hear me out

You might be thinking of some form of democracy or some old lousy guys yapping about promising things way to out to of his reach but it's more  then that it's whether a big or small  political decision determines who gets what, when, and how. Politics     shape ways not even you can imagine.

And this how we get our future president or our next congressman or congresswoman but for now let's focus on who going to be the next mayor of our beloved city:New York City.

The flashing lights of cameras from journalists and the  press eliminated the conference with each snap of a click a new picture was born, a picture that could stay forever in time unlike ourselves. But you might be asking why are the nosy journalists and the curious minds of the news hear?

This year right now, 2024 is the biggest election yet. To who would be the mayor of the capital of New York or should I say in better terms New York city. Aka also called the "The Big Apple" the only people I see calling New York city  are tourists who are absolutely new to this environment or the tour guide themselves to get  people interested in it and to make it better than for themselves to make a cheap buck.

"Today in New York City the biggest  election is happening over 20 years, " The male reporter stated holding the stack of papers. "Yes Michael" , the other news reporter interrupted  fixing her hair and smiling at the camera.   "We bring you live news of one if not the biggest the debate of the year that is happening this evening". "Right to you Nichole".

"Yes guys were are finally here at the debate against the biggest two candidates: Hank Armstead and Bill Mitchell " ,she said finnaly breaking the slient that most news reporters do at the start of talking.

"Has you can see we already have Bill Clinton on the stands and are waiting for the next mayor candidate, Hank Armstead to arrive. " As you have  heard  that the President of the United States is hear tonight and is cheering on for him and telling the people of New York city to vote to make this city greater". "She sends her kindest regards to both of the candidates".

"As we might know the two candidates Hank- before she could finished her sentence she was cut off by the incoming of one of the biggest politicians known Hank Armstead coming on to one of the stands. "This just in she  formally ressured herself The debate is about to begin", she said professionaly, her hand covering her ear with her expensive fur coat.

The pressure that filled that room was enormous. The last second of slient were they sound of  cameras clicking.

One by one the major question were ask " How to stop the rise of inflation,  or "How can we limit the number of  Garbage on the streets"?
each question was answered with such detailed words heck even you might think this  whole thing was scripted.

"How do you stop the rising of crime in the city?", A reporter questioned.

Hank Armstead one of the candidates answered " I've been talking to the New York Police Department and we have come up with the solution to deploy more officers to subways and gated areas. And I also will  invest 100 million dollars to Violence Intervention Programs"." To me the safety and development of New York City what matters most to me."

The crowed was amazed in awe as Hank just smiled looking at the President of United States who smiled back. Hank was no ordinary man. He was a very popular politician known for the way he cared himself but He was also know for the way he "nonchalantly " talked like their was no torrmow. The last time he got in the papers was for no  a good reason.

He was  asked once " What do you think about the lgbtq community"? And his responds was "Umm I don't know uhh I guess  I laugh at them in bars and make jokes about them." Which was taken way out of portion as his team had to apologize on his belief saying on quote on quote " That he met he laughs and jokes with them at bars." He Highly supporteds the community ", by showing  a picture him at a pride rally with a bunch of gay people and a gay guy kissing him in the cheek.

"I don't hate the community " Hank said at an other interview talking about the allegations. I had a makeout with a guy back In the 80s".

Hank was a very cocky man and really loved drinking at bars. Like really like drinking at bars. Every time when he was free  he would go to his favorite bar and drink the night away, laughing and his old friends. That probably explains why he said what he said at that interview he was soo hangover that he team had to carry him into his chair and up.

Hank open his mouth. His old gray shining hair flowed with him has he inched closer to the mic.

"Yes you", hank said pointing at a very young fellow raising his hand up.

"Thank you very much sir ", Conner said clearing his throat and fixing up his suit.

Conner  just turned thirty-two and was 10 year younger than Hank . He had a nicely ironed suit on which was done by his butler. And not to metion his father was very rich. Very rich in matter of fact that his father got him a place at the most popular journalists outlet called "The Woke". A place we're you guessed it sneaky and nosy journalists work at.

You might be thinking why is a very rich kid working at a very famous journalists company? It's was his dream his passion from the start after he had went to a college after party and had his first kiss with boy.

He remembers like it was yesterday. Him coming up to him and then the flirting and then he went for a kiss and Conner kissed back . The sparkles in the air and the way he made him fell special. In the end they broke up. Sad for him anway.

"Does this security measure in the subways have something to do with the death of your son after the pressed abused him from going to the hospital?"

Hank heart sank. But instead with sadness and painful   memories of the past he was filled with hatred. He open his mouth and the rest was in the breaking news the next day......
