siobhan didn't like marjorie's office much.

the walls were colorful and bright, which she claimed clashed terribly. it also didn't help that the room was always too warm, which went against her jumpers and cardigans she liked to wear. and to top it off, the chair was extremely uncomfortable.

so, as you could guess, she didn't like covering here. she would only be there if they were short staffed or for staff meetings. siobhan being at marjorie's nursery was a very last resort thing. and how she loathed it.

the smell, the temperature, the textures,

everything.

but it wasn't like she had a choice.

many timed siobhan had tried to protest about going there to her boyfriend, but roger wouldn't budge. she simply wasn't allowed.

come to think of it, there were many things siobhan wasn't allowed to do.

she wasn't allowed to wear a dress because 'she looked to slutty', she couldn't leave the house without roger's verbal permission, she couldn't speak unless she was spoken to, the list goes on.

it was not a very healthy relationship.

but the thing that hurt siobhan most, was when people would say she was only with him for his money. but in reality she couldn't give a fuck about the money. he would use it against her.

to his advantage.

sometimes she would wish he would go bankrupt, that his business would go bust. that all of his money would just disappear, (along with the bruises.)

before she had met him she was short for money, working on weekends to be able to feed herself, but when she ran into roger in a bar that friday night, everything had changed.

that job offer.
that reassurance.
that promise.

the promise to a lavish and perfect life, in his beautiful mansion, surrounded by his two loving children and all the money she could ever want.

it was almost too good to be true.

but once she had gotten a feel for her new life, and realised that he wasn't as loving as he claimed, and that his children no longer spoke to him, she had changed her mind. but it was too late now, she was under his control. everytime she tried to leave he would remind her.

"now now siobhan, if you leave you will be alone again, and you wouldn't want that would you? think of the cash."

the fear of being alone was imbedded into her mind. she couldn't do it again. she couldn't handle it.

at every word that left roger's mouth, siobhan was reminded of the night her parents died.

the ambulance sirens. the screams. the blood.

that alone feeling that was a constant in her heart, something she couldn't shake away.

and then she was back to square one.

at this rate, he practically owned her.
