The air felt thick with tension, each breath a struggle as I tried to steady myself. My heart pounded in my chest, a relentless rhythm that echoed the turmoil inside me. Anxiety gnawed at my insides, twisting my stomach into knots. I felt as though I were standing on the edge of a precipice, the ground crumbling beneath my feet, threatening to swallow me whole. The weight of our secrets pressed down on me, suffocating, inescapable.

How could she find out like this? We were trying to set it right, we decided to stop. But I guess fate had other plans. My thoughts going back to the fortune teller. Gosh I feel like I am going crazy.

Sebastian, sensing my inner turmoil arising again, gently pulled me into a comforting embrace. His arms around me provided a brief respite, a momentary shield against the burden of our shared secrets and the pain we had caused.

"It's going to be alright," he murmured softly, his voice a balm to my frayed nerves. "We'll figure this out, one step at a time."

Sebastian, Alice, and I all sat on my adjoining balcony, taking in the fresh night air. Sleep eluded us, each of us lost in our own thoughts, grappling with the weight of our situation. The moon hung low in the sky, casting a silver glow that bathed the balcony in an ethereal light.

Alice sat cross-legged on the floor, her eyes fixed on the horizon, deep in thought. Her usually vibrant demeanour was subdued, her face etched with worry. Sebastian was next to me, his hand resting lightly on my back, his presence a steadying force. He stared out into the night, his jaw clenched, determination evident in his eyes.

"How the fuck did you let this happen, Sebastian?" Alice called out, her voice sharp and accusing, slicing through the quiet night.

He sighed, looking towards the ground. "I don't know," he replied, his voice heavy with regret. "I thought I had everything under control."

Alice's eyes flashed with anger. "Well, clearly, you hadn't."

"Katharina can't say anything to your mother or anyone else. The king won't take this lightly if he finds out." Sebastian said, his tone urgent

Alice's voice was icy. "Well, make sure she doesn't. Because it won't be your life on the line, but your lovers and probably mine, as Katharina doesn't like me much."

The weight of Alice's words hung in the air, adding another layer of tension to the already strained atmosphere. I could see the fear in her eyes, and I understood the gravity of our situation. Sebastian's face grew even darker as he took in Alice's warning.

"I know," he said quietly. "I'll do everything I can to keep this from reaching the king. But we need to act quickly and carefully."

Alice's gaze softened, though the tension remained. "We need to figure out our next steps—what we can do to fix this before it's too late."

"Kathy won't say anything," I finally said, my heart heavy. "She's angry, but she won't risk me. I'm her brother, after all."

Alice's expression tightened, but she nodded. "Well, she's a bitch," she said, her tone laced with frustration. "No offence."

"None taken," I replied, managing a small, tired smile despite the gravity of the situation.

Sebastian, who had been listening quietly, spoke up, his voice steady but tinged with worry. "Regardless of personal feelings, we have to focus on a solution. We need to be strategic and precise."

Alice leaned forward, her brows furrowed in thought. "So, what's the plan then? How do we handle this without making things worse?"

Sebastian took a deep breath, his gaze thoughtful. "I'll talk to her, just warn her about what could happen."
