Welcome back to Mystic Falls"I'M BACK!" Cassandra Salvatore sang, her voice echoing through the boarding house as she arrived and slammed the door shut. Her presence was domineering, traveling throughout the home and bringing it to their attention. "Did you miss me?" She leaned against the beam in the foyer, scanning her doe-eyes over the familiar people in the room.
Their attention was focused on her, yes, but not in the way she expected.
"Tough crowd.." She cleared her throat, dropping her bags at the door and making the rounds.
Rebekah smiled, in hopes Cassandra wouldn't tear her heart out of her chest because of what went down the last time they saw each other. Damon smirked, his usual expression. Stefan looked like he didn't care, like he wasn't happy nor angry to see her.
Did she miss something?
And Katherine.. wait, no! That's Elena! Katherine's look alike, the doppelgänger.
Well, at least she looked surprised!
"Long time no see, little sister!" Damon brought her into a tight side hug.
They hadn't kept contact much, a couple calls and messages here and there once the cellphone was invented. The last time they physically saw each other was sometime before she had to keep moving in order to stay safe from Niklaus.
But, between the siblings, she and Damon were always the closest.
They were very much alike.
"Why does he look like an android?" Cassandra asked, referring to their younger brother who stood with his arms crossed over his chest.
He hadn't moved since she arrived. Damon chuckled, "Your boyfriend's brother compelled him to flip the switch, so he's brooding.. a lot."
In any other situation, she would've laughed along, but Niklaus was obnoxious and cruel. She too had fallen at the hands of his whims. So, instead she sent Stefan a sympathetic smile. Something flickered behind his dark eyes and she felt hopeful to see her real brother soon. Oh, how she was wrong.
Cassandra goes to talk with Rebekah next, but comes face to face with the doppelgänger instead. "Hi, I'm Elena.. Gilbert. I've heard so much about you."
"All good things, I hope." The Salvatore sister smirked, hearing as Elena's heart sped up.
The humans smile was fake and tight-lipped, almost nauseating. "Y-yeah." Elena replied. Cassandra saw right through her though.
