Chapter One
Dear reader if you want to keep your sanity please choose a different book, this is not the one for you.
Becky and Steven walked up the front steps of the OK studio. This was their very last steps before their future would hopefully change forever. The two best friends were entering the biggest talent show ever as singers. "I can't believe that the auditions are today!" Becky said. "Yeah," Steven sighed. "What's wrong?" Steven chewed his lip."Y'know sometimes they only move one person from the act." Becky took a quaking breath but apart from that, she ignored the comment. "You ready?" Becky asked. "Mmmmm." Steven murmured worriedly. And they walked in.
"Hurry up, hurry up." A lady with a clipboard and sleek black hair trilled. "You, with the fluffy brown hair." She said' pointing at Steven. "And you with the weird grey eyes and tangly brown hair." She said pointing a judging finger at Becky. Becky took a deep breath so as not to explode with anger. She and Steven then walked over. "What's your name's?" "My name is Becky and this is Steven." She pinned their numbers to them and directed them backstage. "You're on in fifteen minutes. Be ready and good luck."
Becky and Steven sat down on the cracked leather chairs. For the number one talent show they didn't have luxury things. The next fifteen minutes crawled by leaving  them lots of time to think about all the things they weren't prepared for. They didn't speak. They heard the clacking of high heels break the silence. "You're up.Good luck." Clipboard woman sniffed. And with that they walked onto the stage.

Chapter 2
"Hello, what are your names and what will you be doing for us today?" Lydia the judge asked warmly. "Ummmmm my name is Becky and this is my best friend Steven.Today we are gonna be singing!" "And what are you gonna be singing for us today?" Asked another judge. "Umbrella." Steven said nervously. "Ok well go ahead." Lydia nodded.
"When the sun shines" Becky began. "We shine together." Steven sang. "Told I'll be here forever." "Said I'd always be your friend." And this carried on until the song ended. "Thank that was brilliant Steven and well done Becky too." Lydia said, beaming. "We will call you at the end of the day if you've made it! Thank you!
"Well done Steven, that was great!" Exclaimed Becky. "Yeah! You too!" Smiled Steven. The rest of the day, they waited by the phone. They waited there for hours, until eventually, it rang. "Hello, this is OK studios. We are delighted to announce that Steven will be going through to the next round! We are also very apologetic. We have decided that Becky will not be going through, but we hope that she will consider trying again next year. Congratulations Steven, we'll see you on Monday!"
Becky ran out of the room crying. She ran across the road back to her house and flopped onto her bed.

Chapter 3
She couldn't be more angry. Becky lay on her bed with her eyes screwed shut tight. She replayed the call in her head over and over again and then the audition. What did Steven have that she didn't? She continued sobbing into her hand's, when a thought crossed her mind. What did Steven have that she didn't? Anger issues. She smiled.
That night she walked across the road with a bobby pinin one hand and a pair of scissors in the other. She was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and a maniacal smile. Becky twisted the bobby pin in his front door lock and walked in. His parents were on a night shift so this would be even easier for her. She walked up to his room, where she was met by his gentle snoring. She slipped her fingers through the holes in the scissors and got right to work. By the time she was finished his hair looked horrible. She had hacked away at it until there were clumps here and bald patches there. Becky allowed herself a small smile before looking around and knocking down a statue on his drawers. He woke up with a gasp and looked around. He saw her there, looming over him with a clump of his hair in her hand. Steven walked slowly to the mirror and yelled "OUT!" "As you wish." Becky smirked and walked out of his house, whistling, all the way back to her house.
"Good luck on the talent show now Steven!" She whispered to herself. She may not be able to go on OK herself but she could ruin it for Steven! "How dare he be better than me!" She thought. She looked at her clock and a sudden rush of tiredness hit her. She pulled the covers over herself and closed her eyes, melting into her bed's warm embrace. But no matter how hard she tried she couldn't get to sleep, she felt like a kid on christmas eve. When she eventually drifted off, her alarm rang, signalling for her to get out of bed. She rolled out lazily, showered and printed off a fake ticket to OK. She walked because she didn't want Steven to realise she was there. She sat in the audience patiently waiting for Steven to come on. The audience waited in suspense for a full five minutes but no. Steven didn't come on and the judges moved onto the next act.
