Leah's pov

Two weeks later

The fourth period bell rings and everyone packs up their stuff.

Time for lunch, finally. I'm starving.

I walk into the cafeteria and I already see Dierra sitting at our table with Zach. Since the first day of school, Zach has been sitting with Dierra and I at lunch and in English. It's only been about two weeks but he's already fitting in with us.

We have our own routine now- we go in line and get our food, then one of us goes to the vending machine. Today it's my turn. A Dr. Pepper and chocolate chip cookies for me, a ginger ale and sun chips for Dee and a Coke and cookies also for Zach.

Then we either sit and talk for the rest of the class period or go outside if it's not too hot.

"Let's go outside today," says Zach. "I want you guys to meet someone." "Oh wow, you have friends other than us?" Dee jokes. "Of course, what kind of person can tolerate being friends with only you?" asks Zach.

"Someone like Leah," replied Dierra. "I'm so glad we found each other Leah," says Zach. I rolled my eyes, "Clowns."

"Well I can't go out today, I have to go to the library. See you guys later," Dierra says. "Bye."

Zach walks me over to a blonde haired boy sitting under a tree with his eyes closed and earbuds in his ears. Zach takes one out of his ear. "Dude, what the fuck," the boy curses.

Zach introduces us, "Justin, this is Leah. Leah, this is Justin." "Hi," I say shyly.

"So this is Leah," Justin smirks, making Zach roll his eyes. "I've heard so much about you."

"I hope that's a good thing," I say. "It is, trust me," said Justin.

Who is this guy and what has Zach been telling him?

"How ironic," I quickly glance at Zach. "I haven't heard much about you."

"Really? I can never get Zach to shut up about you," Justin says. "But it's nice to finally meet Zach's girlfriend."

Zach blushes,"She's not my girlfriend."

"I'm not his girlfriend."

"Oh, excuse me," Justin smirks again, satisfied with how he's already embarrassed Zach. "I just assumed you were since he talks about you so much."

"It's just that me and Leah have a lot in common and hang out a lot now, that's all," Zach says.

I noticed everyone starting to walk back into the cafeteria. "It's almost time to go. We should start walking in now," I said, grabbing my bookbag off the ground. "You go ahead, I'll catch up," said Zach.

As I walked away I heard a little of their conversation.

"Ow! What the fuck are punching me for?" Justin asked. "For embarrassing me, asshole," Zach said. "Don't get mad at me because-"

"Ow!" Someone bumps into me, knocking me on the ground. "Watch where you're going," I look up and see a tall red haired girl looking down at me.

"Excuse you? You bumped into me! Watch where the fuck you're going," I said once I got back on my feet. The red haired girl rolls her eyes and turns away, her red curls bouncing as she walks. Who the the fuck is she? And who does she think she is?

Later that day

"You should've smacked her dumb ass!" Dierra yells. We were on face time and I told her about the incident earlier. "Who was she?"

"I don't know, I never saw her before," I said. "She was white, tall and had red hair."

"So she just bumped into you and told you watch where you're going?" I nodded. "That's crazy. She's lucky I wasn't there. It would've been a fight today."

"Dee shut up," I laughed. "You always wanna fight somebody." "Forreal though, ain't nobody gonna mess with my best friend and get away with it," she said.

I looked at the time on my phone, "Oh my gosh, it's 6 already." "Yeah why?" Dee asked. "I'm supposed to go to the harbor with Zach," I said.

"Aww, y'all first date" Dierra teased. I rolled my eyes, "It's not a date." "So you and him are going out, alone. You both like each other, i'm pretty sure that's a date," she said.

"Ok first of all, we do not have feelings for each other. Me and Zach are just friends," I explained.

Dierra rolled her eyes, "Leah. I'm your best friend, I know you like him. And it's pretty obvious he likes you too."

"What? Zach does not have a crush on me." Does he?

Okay, I will admit that when I first met Zach, I did kind of like him. He's cute, but now I just think of him as a friend.

"Whatever you say," said Dierra. "Have fun on your date." "Yeah, yeah, yeah," I hung up and started to get ready.

In this chapter you guys get to meet Justin and see Zach interact with Leah and Dierra. And the red haired girl comes back. What do you think she'll do next time? What do you think will happen when Leah and Zach hang out at the harbor? Comment and vote please. (The girl in the picture is Bella Thorne as the red haired girl)
