Chapter 7: The Old Stomping Ground

Coby and Overdrive arrive at a rundown old shack with a garage next to some woods. Overdrive pulls up on the driveway. Overdrive speaks, "Okay so now what." Coby gets out of the car, runs to the side of the garage, and flips open a side panel revealing a keypad. Coby presses in some numbers, and then the garage door opens. Coby goes back inside Overdrive. Coby speaks, "Alright go in." Overdrive speaks, "But is it safe? There aren't any people around?". Coby speaks, "Look, just go in?". Overdrive goes in and the garage shuts itself. Coby gets out of Overdrive and the inside has a lot of space so he can transform but he has to sit due to his size. Coby speaks, "You don't have to worry about people coming because this is my dad's place. And I doubt he'll even come here because it reminds him too much of my mom". Overdrive speaks, "Why does it remind him of your mother?". Coby is moving tools around the benches. Coby says, "Because they worked together all the time here. It was impossible to get them away from here and especially each other". Coby continues, "Can I ask you something, do transformers have moms or dads?". Overdrive speaks, "What stupid kind of question is that? No, that is not how our biology works. The Allspark created us".  Coby speaks, "The wha...?". Overdrive speaks, "Oh it's just some magic box". Coby speaks, "Oh. Okay". Coby walks over to Overdrive with various scrap metal and a blowtorch. Overdrive speaks, "Woah what do think you doing with that stuff?!" Coby speaks, "My dad's an engineer and he's taught me a couple of things, plus you seem pretty badly banged up and this is my best quick offer for you". Overdrive speaks, "Might as well, go back to Cybertron and die like the rest of everyone else is. Whatever kid do what you gotta do". Coby starts using the blowtorch on him, "At least you're not leaking any oil". Overdrive sternly waits quietly. Coby speaks, "Is there something that's bothering you?" Overdrive stays quiet. Coby speaks, "You know people who play the silent game are just general pricks". Overdrive stays quiet. Coby speaks, "I'm done with your left leg". Overdrive moves the legs but still stays in the same position. Overdrive says, "It still has a bit of stiffness, but you did not do a bad job kid". He holds the blow torch and scrap metal up to the next leg when someone knocks on the door. This startles both Overdrive and Coby as it creates sparks on the leg harming Overdrive. Overdrive speaks, "What the hell that hurt! And I thought you said no one would come to the door?" Coby says, "Well it's not like I can see into the future?" Overdrive speaks, "Whatever, go and see who it is and get rid of them!" Coby walks up to the door, then answers it. It is Mr. Brown. Mr. Brown speaks, "Hey Coby I heard you were in a chase with a few other cars not too long ago and involved a shoot out. I went searching for you all over the place because I was worried that you might be dead after that". Coby says, "Wow you found that out fast! But, I'm OK, Mr. Brown. It was just a quick thing that happened and so I had to be quick on my feet". Mr. Brown says, "That's a good thing too. But I heard someone in there who was that? Coby speaks, "Oh I was listening to some YouTube videos on my phone to help clear my head. Mr. Brown, I don't wanna be rude, but I was hoping to be alone after that situation because it took a lot out of me, is that ok?" Mr. Brown speaks, "Oh, my certainly Coby. Take all the time that you need". Mr. Brown leaves. Overdrive speaks, "Jesus now he's gone come over here and fix this leg". Coby carefully melts some scrap metal with a blow torch on to the scrapes on Overdrive's leg. Overdrive speaks, "Oh, boy, that I feel so much better. Where is a good place I can stretch my legs?". Coby speaks, "I don't know any since you're a giant metal robot!". Overdrive speaks, "Well, at least when I get out. Maybe do something crazy and have a little fun. Drove around a little." Coby speaks, "...I think I got an idea now."
