He woke up to the cold air of his room. His feet hanging off the small twin sized bed. The shitty rug beneath it covering the cement floor of the room. His arm hangs off the bed. His claws are bared, one just barely grazing the rug. She snores softly when suddenly- a sharp ring pierces His ears. The alarm clock on his dresser rang loudly. He tugs on his ears and groans. Moving his joints feel sore. His body tense from sleeping in the small bed. He goes to turn over, going to open his eyes in the process when he suddenly falls off his bed. It's about a 3 foot drop. He grunts and whines as his back hits the rug. He lays there letting the alarm ring loudly. He huffs and sits up slowly. Getting to his feet. His figure is lean And muscular. His body was well defined. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and went to his dresser pushing the button to turn off the clock. It doesn't turn off. He groans and bats it around a bit. Getting aggravated he grabs it and throws it. Yanking the plug out of the outlet. The noise stops. He closes his eyes, enjoying the moment of silence. The ringing in his ear subsides after a few minutes. He sways slightly as he stands there. His head drops slowly and leans forward. Before he falls forward his door Bursts open. Waking him up and catching himself before he fell. He looks at the door. His boss, who also served as a father figure to him, stood there with a smile on his face.

"Wake up son!"

He was an old grizzly bear. He was shorter than toxic by quite a lot. Toxic stood at a solid 8 ft. This room was modified for his hight. But the bed. Well the bed was the only thing that wasn't. He was way too large for the small bed. Anyway, his boss stood there. Speaking. His voice was one of an old man who smoked and drank pretty much 24/7. Toxics eyes close.

"common son big day today!"

Toxic sighs and looks at the bear.

"Al. There's nothing planned for today. It's just a normal Friday."

Al, the bear, smiled and gestured for him to come out of his room. He made his way to his door and out of his room. Walking by the bathroom and into the bay of the auto shop. Between the room bathroom and the bay. Those 3 were modified for his large size. He didn't have to duck unless he went into Al's office. He ruled his face again and stood there in the bay. Al sat down and handed Toxic a mug of coffee. Toxic glared at al. It was quite unusual for him to do anything for Toxic. He picked up the mug and sized it slightly. Letting a small stream of coffee run down the valley of his jaws. Where his tongue would usually sit. The warm feeling of the coffee running down his throat sent chills to the back of his neck. He pulled the mug away from his mouth and sat it on the counter. Al smirked

"relax. It ain't poisoned."

"really how could I be sure?"

Al pulls a tight lip to one side and rolls his eyes.

"Common son. Can't I just be nice. Maybe tonight we can treat ourselves to a dinner-"

Toxic turns an ear in curiosity. Mal never liked to go anywhere for dinner. Toxic drew a blank at the special accession. What was happening that he didn't know about. Had he forgotten Al's birthday or- then it hits him. Toxic eyes widen

"no."

Al looks at toxic.

"no al we are not doing this. I don't understand why you think I'd want to-"

"I just wanna celebrate the day my father let u stay here....which so happens-"

"the be the fucking day my father did this to me. Yea I know."

Al sighs.

"Son, it's tradition. I bring you to 'bulls' and then we come here and go to bed."

"No, I'm not letting you drag me there. We go there every year on this day. They know me by heart because of this-"
