Willow Waynes stood at the threshold of the grand, ivy-clad entrance to The Von Cavil University, where centuries of tradition seemed to ripple through the stately architecture and prestige shimmered in every meticulously manicured lawn. Her heart thudded with a mix of excitement and apprehension, a rhythm as discordant as the worlds she had bridged to get here.

She was raised in a modest suburban neighbourhood where aspirations were tempered by practicality, and had never envisioned herself among the elite. Yet, as she gazed up at the imposing façade of Von Cavil, she felt both the thrill of possibility and the weight of her new reality—a place where she was determined to redefine her place amidst the whispers of old money and high expectations.

As Willow stepped into her new dorm room, number 213, she was greeted by the sight of a space that was both empty and promising. With her roommate yet to arrive, the room was entirely theirs for the moment. Her brothers, Wayne and Wesley, entered behind her, carrying her few belongings with a mix of efficiency and casual ease.

Wesley, ever the laid-back one, dropped his load with a theatrical sigh and flopped onto the empty bed. "Well, this bed's definitely mine for now," he said with a playful grin, stretching out as if to claim his territory. The curls of his hair bouncing along with his every movement.

Willow glanced around, noting the bare walls and the simplicity of the room. "Thanks for helping out," she said, a smile tugging at her lips. "It's nice to have some company while I settle in."

Wayne, always the organised one, began unpacking with methodical precision. "No problem," he said, his tone steady and practical. "We'll get everything set up in no time. Just let me know where you want everything." Meanwhile Wesley propped himself up on one elbow, offering a mock salute. "And I'll be here, overseeing operations and offering advice on surviving VCU."

Willow laughed, feeling a sense of comfort and camaraderie despite the unfamiliarity of her new surroundings. As she worked alongside Wayne to arrange her things, the room began to take on a more personal touch, and the initial nerves of moving in began to fade.

As the afternoon sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a warm, golden light through the dorm room windows, Willow and her brothers finished arranging the last of her belongings. The once bare room now bore subtle traces of her personality—books lined neatly on the shelf, a soft throw draped over the bed, and a small collection of framed photos on the desk. It wasn't much, but it felt like a start.

Wayne folded the now-empty suitcase with a satisfied nod. "That should do it. Everything in its place," he said, standing back to admire their handiwork.

Wesley, still sprawled across the other bed, glanced at his watch and sighed theatrically. "Well, as much as I'd love to keep you company all day, I have some other matters to attend."

Willow chuckled, rolling her eyes at her brother's antics. "Yes, can't have you missing out on whatever it is you do."

Wesley grinned, hopping off the bed and straightening his shirt. "Exactly! Plus, Dad will want a full report on how his 'little girl' is doing at the big fancy university." And Wayne's expression softened at the mention of their father. He placed a hand on Willow's shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'm so happy i don't  have to travel across the country to see you...I'll be in this dorm everyday from now."

Willow felt a lump form in her throat, but she quickly swallowed it down, nodding as she blinked back the emotion. "Ugh! I don't want you watching me like a small child Wayne." Rolling her eyes in amusement.

Wayne said firmly. "Just remember Wil, it's okay to take things one step at a time. You don't have to figure everything out right away." Wesley chimed in, his usual playful tone softened by sincerity. "Yeah, and don't forget to have some fun too. College is about more than just classes and books."
