As the movie continued to play, the two girls couldn't help but occasionally glance over at Wesley, who had quickly settled into a deep sleep. His presence was undeniable, his limbs sprawled out as if he owned the place. Willow, however, tried to focus on the film, her eyes glued to the screen, though she was well aware of the girls' curiosity about her brother.
An hour passed, and the movie's plot was nearing its climax. Suddenly, Wesley shifted in his sleep, a soft grunt escaping him as he stretched out, his body taking up even more space on the bed. He peeked open one eye, catching the three girls mid-watch.
With a casual yawn, Wesley sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Hey, anyone see a pair of glasses around here? I think I left them here or better yet i hope i did."
Lorna and Amy, who had been quietly observing, seemed to gather some courage. Lorna spoke up first, "Maybe they're in the dresser?"
Amy quickly added, "Or someone might have kicked them under the bed... Let me have a look for you."
Wesley smiled at their willingness to help, and with a shrug, he gestured for them to go ahead. "Be my guest."
Amy knelt down, peering under the bed, while Lorna started to open the dresser drawers. Willow, watching all this unfold, couldn't help but shake her head in mild disbelief at how easily her friends had fallen under Wesley's spell. They were practically tripping over themselves to help him, and Wesley, of course, was enjoying every second of it.
As Amy and Lorna searched, Wesley leaned back on the bed, propping himself up on his elbows and watching them with an amused expression. "You girls are lifesavers," he said, his tone charming as ever.
"Found them!" Lorna exclaimed triumphantly, pulling out the glasses from behind a stack of clothes in the dresser.
Wesley flashed a grin, reaching out to take them from her. "I knew I could count on you."
Amy, who had been looking under the bed, smiled sheepishly as she straightened up.
Wesley winked at her. "thank you for trying, darling. I definitely owe you ladies one, hoping you'll cash it in soon."
Willow, unable to hold back any longer, let out a loud groan. "Seriously, Wes?"
But her brother just laughed, slipping the glasses onto his face as if they'd been the missing piece to his perfect day. With a satisfied stretch, he stood up, adjusting his coat. "Alright, I'll leave you girls to your movie. But don't worry, I'll be back."
Willow threw a pillow at him, and Wesley dodged it with a grin. "Can't wait," she muttered, half-joking.
Wesley paused at the door just as he was about to leave, turning back with a thoughtful expression, as though something important had just slipped his mind. The suspense hung in the air as he tried to remember the subject of interest.
"Oh yeah..." he finally said, snapping his fingers. "There's a party tonight. I was going to pick you up later, but since your friends are here, I figured I'd tell you early so you can get ready—or, you know, do some makeovers or whatever."
He grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Amy, I'd love to see you in a mini black dress," he added with a wink and a wide smile.
The room erupted in a loud, unified "Eeeewwww!" from Willow, her disgust evident as she shot her brother a death glare.
Wesley just laughed, thoroughly entertained by his sister's reaction. "What? Just being honest," he teased, raising his hands in mock surrender.
"Out!" Willow demanded, pointing dramatically at the door.
