"Why are you up so late?" Takeo had a questioning look on his face as he looked at the countless books in her hands.

"I decided to try out what you told me earlier today," Rias said as she placed the heavy books on the table.

Takeo looked at Ria's before his gaze went back to the books, from what he could see from where he was the book was talking about the power of destruction.

"Sweet, let me help out" Takeo had a grin on his face as he said those words.

"You don't have to really" Rias added to which Takeo just looked at her and said.

"I don't really need a reason to help you out, so let's get started"

Time skip.
Rias had a thoughtful expression on her face as she watched her explosion go out of control, she watched as her explosion did not stick to the wound and try to destroy the whole insect that she was trying to test out her skill.

'The output is way too high, and the destruction is way harder to control than I thought' Rias thought to herself as she looked at what she had achieved which was just a very dead insect.

Her eyes went to the book before going back to the insect, her crimson hair swaying as she did so.

Takeo placed his hand over the bug and with a couple of pulses of Senjutsu energy, the insect went back on his feet without wasting not even a single second

Takeo placed his hand over the bug and with a couple of pulses of Senjutsu energy, the insect went back on his feet without wasting not even a single second.

Rias formed what seemed to be a tiny web of destruction energy before sending it toward the insect.

The web of destruction came into contact with the insect wounding it, Takeo using senjutsu tries to heal the insect's life force in order to heal it.

However, no matter what he did the insect wouldn't heal and the wound would just stay there, this little back in forth lasted for 5 seconds before the insect was reduced to nothing but ash.

"On the good side it's getting better" Takeo added with a positive look on his face as he watched yet another insect get utterly destroyed by Rias' destructive power.

"But it died too quickly" Rias exclaimed sounding a bit disappointed at herself.

"You made progress, okay, that good enough isn't it?" Takeo said in a cheerful voice.

"This is not enough to defeat Riser..." Rias muttered with a somber expression on her face.

"You still have me don't you, you have a whole peerage that will back you up no matter what, so don't blame yourself too much" Takeo exclaimed with a soft smile on his face.

"I guess you are right" Rias added as she walked toward the nearby pillar to lean on.
She sat down, as she took out a book.

"I am guessing I was worried...Riser has won his past 10 rating game and the only 2 that he had lost were not real lost" She had a somber look on her face as she said those words.

"Why does the devil have to arrange marriage, to begin with, it's not like you guys are in a rush to get married, don't you all live to be thousands of years old, marrying at 17"

"Why does the devil have to arrange marriage, to begin with, it's not like you guys are in a rush to get married, don't you all live to be thousands of years old, marrying at 17"

This was a genuine question that Takeo had, from what he could gather, devils lived for a pretty long time so why hurry and marry off their 17-year-old daughter while she was still so young?

She hasn't even lived 1/10 of her life yet by devil's standards, even by human modern standards, 17 is a bit too young to get married....we don't talk about the standards of the past, those were dark times.

"You heard about the great war 400 years ago," Rias said looking at her servant.
"Yeah, I heard about it.."

Rias took in a deep breath before she opened her mouth and said.

"400 years ago, devils, fallen angels, and angels fought, this battle lasted a long time, and by the end of the battle every participating side took great damage, and the amount of pure-blooded devils dropped to an astoundingly low number"

Takeo got that part, he had heard it when he became a human, however, he still understands why they couldn't just reproduce and get the number back up, it shouldn't take them that long, a human could make such a number back, and more in 400 years, so why couldn't devils.

Rias seems to have understood the look on his face.

She sighed a bit before opening her mouth.
"Devils have a much lower birth rate than humans, a devil couple could spend a whole year trying for a kid and the wife would not get pregnant"

Huh, that did explain a shit tone for Takeo, so this is why they were so on the go to sell their daughter away.

"Alright let's help you, with your control, you can test your skill on me," Takeo said with a smile on his face.

"NO" Was Rias' immediate reply.
"I do not want to hurt you"

"I will be fine, plus worst case scenario, I can get Asia to heal me"

"Still....I do not want to hurt you" Rias seems adamant on not hurting him.

He walked closer to her and pulled her in a hug.

"Trust me, I will be just fine, for now, let's just focus on your skill okay"

She seems quite reluctant to hurt him.

He wondered, what motivation would she need for her to finally let go.

Suddenly something popped into his mind.
"When we win, you can ask me anything and I won't say no, is that okay"

"You promise!"

"I promise"

She seems to be happy with her deal.

Later that night, a nun was invited into the mansion.

She was more than willing to help heal him.

She was more than willing to help heal him
