Cinder Fall POV

*CRASH!*

"Woah, woah, calm down, Boss — "

"I'm not calming down, Mercury! Two perfect pawns, MIA, and even possibly dead after only 2 minutes of contact with their targets?!"

Cinder Fall said with rare anger as her subordinates took a few steps back to avoid being burnt to a crisp, fearful at her expressions while she started burning the surroundings with her Semblance.

Once she calmed down, Cinder Fall pressed her palm on her forehead and took a deep breath, simmering down before looking at her pawns.

"Mercury, Shade, take care of these Phantom Thieves... They are ruining the chessboard."

She growled as the second person in the room, Shade noted.

"No offense, Boss, but they took down Roman Gentleman Torchwick, the damn kingpin of Vale. I doubt we could do much."

The younger twin explained cautiously, with them both preparing to get hit by Cinder due to talking back, but surprisingly, she raises her prominent hand and exhales.

"... Yes, you are right. You two are not enough; we need more firepower to take them down. Leave. I need to do some thinking."

"... Huh, we didn't die."

"Shut up, dork!"

Mercury joked after they were ordered to leave, with only her remaining in the safe house that the Black patriarch kindly "gave" to her after his death.

She was about to explode in anger once more at the files in her sights, lying on the coffee table, but she repressed the anger. It will not do any good now; she must compose herself.

Grabbing the file once more, she opened it and analyzed it.

The blood of the two thieves was present in large volume, but no bodies were found. Scars of elemental Dust, bullets, and blades covered the rooftops of where they fought, but the more protruding discovery was the abundance of burnt marks, making her piece together that their bodies must have been incinerated...

She deduces that Daemon, the leader of the Phantom Thieves, from Roman's explanations, had the Semblance of pyrokinesis.

Though there was an interesting detail to note in this file, there were far too many bullet marks. From her understanding, only Roman and Daemon used firearms. The number of bullets fired in comparison to the amount of time that had passed before they went MIA was uncanny.

That means that there was another person in the fight. Yes, it makes sense now. There were two or more members of the Phantom Thieves in that fight; that was how they defeated the two pawns of hers who were Grade B-level Huntsmen, A at most.

She noted it in her mind before standing up. Now, she had to find another way to get Dust. Due to that, the Mount Glenn plan must be delayed now; she had to report back to her Queen about this development.

She clenched her fists as she calmed herself down, fearful of what her Queen would say to her now that plans had to be set back, while subconsciously raging at the pretense of her needing to bow down to another entity.

The Phantom Thieves will remember this transgression when she sees them broken beneath her feet before burning them to ashes.
