The night of the gathering had arrived, and the Silk Sands was alive with laughter, music, and the intoxicating scent of exotic perfumes. Ashara stood at the entrance, her heart racing as she took in the vibrant scene before her. The brothel, usually a place of secrets, had transformed into a realm of celebration, and she was determined to own it.

As guests mingled, Ashara felt the thrill of possibility coursing through her veins. She caught sight of Nymeria across the room, her beauty captivating everyone around her. Ashara smiled, feeling a rush of affection for the noblewoman. But tonight, she had a plan—a way to ensure her name would be spoken of long after the party ended.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" Ashara called out, her voice ringing through the crowd as she climbed onto a small platform. "Welcome to the Silk Sands! Tonight, we celebrate life, passion, and perhaps... a little scandal."

The crowd erupted in cheers, and Ashara's confidence swelled. She knew how to play her audience, and she intended to make an impression.

As the night wore on, Ashara wove through the crowd, planting seeds of rumor and intrigue. With a coy smile, she whispered to one lord, "You know, some say I'm not truly a Targaryen. Just a clever maiden holding onto the title for the coins it brings."

The lord's eyes widened, curiosity piqued. "What do you mean?"

"Oh, my dear lord," Ashara purred, leaning in closer, her voice a sultry whisper. "What better way to entice the wealthy than to bed the last Targaryen? I can assure you, there are plenty who would pay good money for that privilege."

Word spread like wildfire, and Ashara watched as the room buzzed with newfound excitement. The lords and ladies exchanged glances, their interest in her escalating. Ashara reveled in the attention, feeling powerful as she played her part.

But her enjoyment was short-lived. Across the room, she noticed Nymeria and Quentyn watching her, their expressions darkening with each whispered rumor. Ashara felt a twinge of guilt, but she pushed it aside, focusing instead on the thrill of the night.

Eventually, Nymeria made her way through the crowd, her face a mask of anger. "Ashara, what are you doing?" she hissed, pulling her aside.

"What do you mean?" Ashara replied, feigning innocence.

"You're making yourself out to be nothing more than a whore! This isn't what we discussed!" Nymeria's voice was low, but the intensity of her frustration was palpable.

Quentyn joined them, his expression equally fierce. "You're diminishing yourself, Ashara. You have so much potential, and you're throwing it away for a few coins and a moment of attention."

"Please, don't be so dramatic," Ashara said, a hint of defiance creeping into her tone. "I'm giving the people what they want. If they want to see me as a means to an end, so be it. I'll play the part and come out on top."

Nymeria shook her head, disappointment flooding her features. "You're better than this. You don't need to reduce yourself to a title that's only valuable because of your bloodline."

Quentyn stepped forward, frustration evident in his eyes. "We care about you, Ashara. This isn't the way to gain respect. You're worth more than what you're selling."

Feeling cornered, Ashara's defenses flared. "You think I'm doing this for you? I'm doing this for me! I'm tired of being seen as a Targaryen. I want to be recognized for my own skills, my own charm."

"But at what cost?" Nymeria shot back, her voice trembling with emotion. "You're jeopardizing everything we've worked for!"

Ashara opened her mouth to argue, but the weight of their words hung heavy in the air. She looked at them, feeling a mix of anger and hurt. "I can handle myself. I know what I'm doing."
