It took quite a while, but you had managed to escape the ropes, through lots of wriggling. Your wrists were practically rubbed raw in the process, but hey, anything's better than being bound.

"Ugh..."

You grumbled quietly to yourself, walking through the forest. Your Nen was rather exhausted, but you still managed to output enough En to be aware if any creature was in your range.

This grass was unnecessarily difficult to walk through.

Blue Lock was huge. Every tree was thick and lustrous, and the grass was more viridescent than anything you'd seen. A large amount of exotic plants and vines covered practically everything. Blue Lock was a place mostly untouched by humanity. Only Magical Beast Hunters were authorized and allowed. Not that you'd be stopped if you came in unauthorized...

Most of the plants had at least a small aura. After all, this was a magical forest.

You halted your when your En caught onto a strong aura. Your eyes darted to the left, where you spotted an area full of vinery and verdure. You could spot a faint little glow peaking out.

"...hm."

After a short little discussion with yourself, you decided to check it out. You trudged over, limbs still aching a bit. You'd have to take care of your burns soon, too, but you'd think of that later.

Remembering the sizzling, you could only reminisce of that annoying demon's face and scowl. You brushed it off quickly, though, deciding to forget. It was good that he let you go, anyway.

Finally in front of the thick leaves, you extended your hands, pushing the thick greenery to the side with moderate difficulty. It seemed quite heavy. You briefly pondered over how old the things here were, before finally stepping into the new area.

It was a glowing lake. You could feel the aura from here, before even getting into a five meter's radius. From what you'd read on Blue Lock, lakes like this were quite common, and also spots of rejuvenation. You were advised to camp out somewhere near a source like this.

You walked closer, extending your En a few more meters for a few seconds, to see if there were any presences near.

There weren't any presences. You dispelled it before it could drain too much of your already dwindling aura. Sighing, you sat down near the rocky edge of the lake, staring at the deep, but pristilline waters. No fish were in sight.

You confirmed that no one was around a second time, before very slowly dipping your hand into the water. You sighed in relief at the aura flooding into your system. Jeez, why do these only exist at Blue Lock?

As the soothing sensation took over, your wrists stopped bleeding. You dipped them both into the water, sighing quietly.

This was really peaceful. Hey, you might even enjoy the next six months you have to spend here, if you get to see aura lakes this often-

*CHOMP*

You paused, freezing up.

And then you screeched, pulling your hands back.

"What the FUCK."

You could see bubbles in the water, but not what was causing it. You very quickly backed away from the lake, holding your bitten hand.

You shrouded your unbitten fist in Ko, slowly walking over to the lake. You were lowkey scared. Who could even blame you? Something just bit you. That's not something to be very calm about.

"...Who's there?"

That was probably something stupid to say, because it could've been a fish.

And a fish wouldn't respond.
