Jane opened her eyes and froze, momentarily confused as to where she was. Then it all came hurtling back and she popped off her pillow, looking around excitedly. It hadn't ended when she went to bed! She wasn't sure what was going to happen when she closed her eyes, but apparently this figment of her imagination just kept pushing on.
She got out of bed and felt a chill run through her body as she touched down on the cold floor. Man everything sure felt real, it was wild. And this room- she had admired it last night, but in the light of day it was even more fun to see. It looked so similar to what she remembered from the movies. It was probably good that her roommates had left because she would probably get some pretty weird looks as she spun giddy around the bed posts.
She got dressed, finding it a little difficult with all the layers she had to wear. You get to choose your clothes in the game but it was not as tedious as this was. Just as she had observed yesterday, it seems the game has a lot more real world application. She hoped this didn't mean she was going to actually have to do the homework...
After getting her robe into place she looked into the mirror. The reflection looking back at her reminded her distinctly of when she had dressed as Hermonie Granger for Halloween when she was 8 or 9. That costume had been a cheap replica of course, but this- this was the real deal. Feeling the thick material hanging off her was a wild experience- it really made this all seem so real.
She then tried to go about making herself look as presentable as possible- today was the day she was going to meet many of the side characters. Within the game the relationships that you could have went as far as the quests each character sent you on. There were three who you could get the closest too; Natty, Poppy, and Sebastian, but even then it was just friends. Jane was going to push those boundaries as far as she possibly could- you know without making questionable decisions morally. Sure she was in a game, but she was going to still be a good human being. It was a lot different when you were just controlling someone in 3rd person POV and when it was actually you.
How much was this world that she had found herself in, going to stick to its structure? According to the sorting last night, there was obviously some room for movement. If this was a figment of her mind then it was bound to change to the thing she did to it. If this was a dream, and she was in control, then really she should be able to do anything right?
Well for a fan girl, that meant getting as close as she possibly could to her favorite character. If there was anything she could do here it was to get to be around Ominis Gaunt. She was going to be by his side and make her time with him as good as it possibly could be for him. That boy was everything; loyal, kind, witty, strong, not to mention devilishly handsome. He deserved way better than what he was dealt in the game, and she was going to see to it that his life was made better. Ominis wouldn't be able to see her coming- pun not intended.
She was ready for the day and so down into the Gryffindor common room she went. Her heart thumped as she walked into the main room, feeling overly excited again at everything she saw from the movies. It was all so real, just like she felt when she first walked up to the castle.
Jane looked around the room and spotted the mess of red hair off to the side and she felt her heart hammer fast in her chest. She walked towards him, and as she did so the other kids he had been talking to walked away. He was offering them a potion that he had made, but they were all reluctant for a test.
"Hello. You're the new fifth-year. Pleased to meet you. I'm Garreth Weasley. Heard about your travels here, can't believe it! Glad you and Fig are all right. Is it true that someone from the Ministry was with you in the carriage?"
