20. Sink Your Teeth into My Flesh

It was currently Sunday, and Nicki decided to hang out at the beach with the girls, just until Alex got off work, that way everyone could get together and try out the new mixture. "Sooo," Aveline began, grabbing Nicki's hand and holding it, swinging them back and forth. "How was your date~?"

All four were currently in their bathing suits since they were debating going for a swim sometime. It's not like wearing their bathing suits would matter as soon as they get in the water, but they are walking along the beach, after all. Wearing swimwear is almost like a must.

Nicki smiled, all three girls immediately grinning at him, wanting to know all the juicy details. "It was great. We, uh... We went to the aquarium, and holy shit, I'll tell you right now: the way the fucking light reflected onto him when walking through that place was just... Ughhh-- he was beautiful. Do you wanna see pictures? I have a lot-- a-and videos, too!" he rambled on excitedly, causing the girls to giggle. "Oh myyy... Nicki, you sound absolutely smitten, you know that?" Rose teased, which made Nicki blush, letting out an awkward chuckle. "Oh yeah? You think so?" he replied, looking to be a bit nervous now. "I think it's sweet. We've all known Elijah for years, and he's always been so... You know, cruel. Ever since you came into his life, though, he's become a completely different person-- he seems... So happy, which is really nice to see. You can tell he likes you a lot," Natalie told him, reaching out and rubbing his shoulder. "There's a lot more to Eli than what he's shown everyone throughout the years... All he's ever needed was somebody real in his life, you know? Someone who knew how it felt to have similar experiences with people, like the ones he's had. I think how he acts now was always how he was going to act if he didn't go through all the shit that he did... He just needed someone like me to unlock that hidden part of him," Nicki explained, which had the girls all glancing at one another with smiles on their faces

They loved to see their friend as happy as he is right now. Happy is what he should be; after all, Nicki has once again found those he knew in multiple lives-- the ones that made him the happiest. These are the people he spends lifetimes with-- who wouldn't be happy to be with them again?

"You care about him a lot, huh?" Aveline asked, squeezing Nicki's hand. Nicki blushed once again and looked down at the sand, continuing to move forward with the girls. "I do... It's hard not to, especially since I've realized he's someone I used to know before, just like you girls. When I'm around you three, it's like I've been around you all my life-- like I grew up around you, even though we only met a couple of months ago. It's been a long time since I've felt this happy, and I'm really glad that fate, or whatever, has brought me back here... Even if it does mean history is just repeating," he expressed, earning a loving smile from each one of the girls. "We're not going to let it end the same way it has... The cycle has gotta end at some point, right?" Natalie reassured him, which had the other two nodding their heads in agreement. "Yeah... I hope it does. We just need more clues as to how to stop it. Which one of you is going to go under the trance of the full moon with me the next time it comes around?" Nicki inquired, stopping in his tracks, which prompted them to stop as well. Aveline continued holding Nicki's hand as she looked at her fellow female Sirens, the three of them trying to silently discuss with one another who was going to do it. "Well... I've been thinking about the idea that mayyybe we should do one of us with the... I guess least worried about ability? Like, out of the three of us, whose ability do you think would be the most difficult to take care of, and whose would be the easiest, you know? We're going to lose control under the full moon, and since your ability is already so chaotic, Nicki, being fire and all, we definitely don't need another chaotic one for the others to worry about," Aveline suggested, which had Rose raising a brow at her.

It wasn't necessarily a bad idea, but each one of their abilities could prove quite dangerous if they lost control.

"I dunno, Av... I mean, I'm not sure if there is one of us that would be easier to take care of than the others, you know? I could cause a fucking earthquake, Natalie could flood the house, and you could create a frickin' tornado or something! We don't know," Rose pointed out, causing Aveline to puff out her cheeks and pout. "Well, there's gotta be something you'd rather take over the other, right?" she grumbled, which had the other three looking at one another. "Welll... I'd say water abilities might be easier to handle, and it could help combat Nicki's wild flames, right? But I still don't know how I feel about causing such a watery mess at Alex's house, one that he would have to clean up. It's too risky, especially since his parents would be home. They'd no doubt wonder why their house is soaked--"
