Alina Alonzo was always taken advantage of when she was in middle school. Though she did not have any friends, people would come up to her for help. Homework help, dating advice, and well you get the idea.
In a sense, she was a people pleaser. It was a weakness of hers and truth be told, she still is. She's always willing to accommodate to people's expectations whenever or wherever.
"Alina, can I speak to you?" Another voice sounded from behind the two.
Picking her head up from looking at the pebbles on the ground, Alina looked at the person who was calling her.
Harry himself, turned around to see a familiar face.
"Actually, can I talk to the both of you?" Olivia questioned the two in front of her. Her blonde hair was disheveled and her mascara was smeared.
"Are you alright, Olivia?" Alina immediately asked when she saw the blonde's appearance.
"I just wanted to apologize for my behavior. To the both of you. It was completely unprofessional." Sniffling, Olivia nodded her head. "I hope you'll forgive me."
Alina and Harry looked at one another quizzically.
They both found it rather odd at the sudden apology.
"It's okay, really." Alina surprised herself when she realized that she spoke. Clearing her throat, she looked at a dazed Harry.
Alina stepped forward. "We all have bad days and yours just happened to be these past few days." She then turned around to meet Harry's gaze once more. Subtly nodding her head towards Olivia.
"Oh! Right." Harry moved next to Alina.
He looked at Olivia and started nodding his head. "Basically what she said." There was a pause before he started speaking again.
"We're both stuck in an unwanted situation that we can't really get out of. And I can't hold that against you, but it's the way you act around any female that I talk to or about, it's not really fair. We're not really dating."
Alina looked up at Harry and then at Olivia, watching their facial expressions. Kind of like a tennis match.
"There you are!" Another voice happily exclaimed.
"Oh." Their tone deflated after seeing the scene before them.
Within a few seconds, Alina felt a gentle tug on her arm. "Don't mind if I do."
