Centuries (TMNT Fast Forward 2003)

Future Shellshock

"Lu? Where's Cody?" Nova asks Luna while they all sit in the penthouse's living area. "I don't know. Maybe the lab..." Luna responds. They all woke up to find Cody no where to be found. The day started normal; Sterling woke them up, they brushed their teeth, got dressed, washed their hands, etc. But it all took a turn when Cody didn't show up at breakfast like normal. Now they are watching their daily cartoons, but without their best bud, Cody Jones.

"But why?.... He never miss tv..." Bryleigh whines. She can't talk properly 100%, she has a mild form of dyslexia and has a hard time verbally, but she is doing better than some, thanks to her cousins, Cody, and Sterling. "Bry, he might have an important...what's it called?" Mara tries to help Bryleigh understand but can't think of the right words. "Project?" Luna tries to finish for her. "Yes! What Lu said! Thanks Lu!" Mara says, which she receives a nod from Luna. 

All of a sudden, Sterling is rushing out of the penthouse with "the stabilizer chest thingys" as Mara likes to call them. 

~CUT TO WHERE THE TURTLES ENTER CODY'S ARTIFACT ROOM~

The girls heard voices coming from the artifact room, deciding to be stealthy in case they had to help Cody. Nova hid behind the podium for Casey's mask and bag, Bryleigh behind the Shredder's armor with Luna, and Mara behind the Fugitoid, all watching from the shadows.

"Casey's stuff? Our stuff? Alright twerp where'd you get all this? Where they shell are-"

Raphael's rant was cut off by Sterling grabbing his shell, lifting him off the ground and away from Cody. His tone making the girls unsheathe their weapons. 

"Manners reptile." With that Sterling throws Raphael into the stand that has the canister of mutagen. 

"Don't be mad. The hockey stuff, the mask, it's all mine. It belonged to my great grandparents." Cody explains calmly. Confusing the mutants in the room.

"Your great grandparents?" Master Splinter chimes in. "Casey Jones and April O'Neil. My name is Cody Jones, and this is New York City in the year 2105." Cody says happily, excited to meet the four turtles that were friends with his great grandparents. 

This news though, it scares the mutants deeply. 

"We're in New York? A hundred years in the future? An-and aliens live here and cars fly and-" Leo's shock is interrupted by Cody chiming in. "Crazy, huh? I can't believe you're here either! I mean, I've read about you for years, but to actually meet you, wow..." 

"We are honored by your enthusiasm, but if you know how we came to be here, please you must tell us." Splinter pleads with the young boy. 

"Grandpa?" a young girl's voice is heard. The reptiles look a the source...it's standing beside the Shredder's armor. "Um...hello?" Donnie says to the little girl. This makes all the other girls come out of their spots, since Bryleigh blew their cover. 

"Girls! Meet your great grandfathers! Nova this is your great grandfather Donatello, Mara this is your great grandfather Raphael, Luna this is your great grandfather Leonardo, and Bryleigh this is your great grandfather...where is Mikey?" Cody introduces, but when it comes to Bryleigh's turn, Michelangelo was no where to be seen.

"Do...I-I...no-not o-on-one?..." Bryleigh begins to tear up, thinking she doesn't actually have one and that Cody was just trying to include her. Cody runs up to Bryleigh, picking her up to comfort her. 

"No, Bryleigh, you do have one. He just isn't here right now, ok?" Cody tries to comfort.

"We lost Mikey the second we got here! That's what we've been trying to tell walking toaster!" Raph says, hitting Sterling in the chest. 

"Hey! Be nice grandpa! Sterling did nothing wrong!" Mara says before stomping her shoe of Raph's foot, making him groan in pain as his foot burned from the force. Leo and Donnie trying to hold in their laughter. 

"Well then let's all go look for him. And Mara, be nice to your elders." Cody warns, Mara silently mocking him, annoyed that he was trying to act like her father.

"Elders? We're only 15." Leo asks confused. "Leonardo, here you are their great grandparents, to them you are their elders." Splinter reminds him, this eases Leo a little more as he totally forgot he was now a grandfather.

"That is not possible. Master Cody is the owner of O'Neil Tech; a prominent manufacturer of Terran technologies-" Sterling starts but was interrupted by Luna, as she has heard this far too often. 

"As the head of the company and heir to the vast Jones-O'Neil fortune, a simple walk in the park makes him an irresistible target for kidnappers and there dwells. Anything Master Cody could ever need is made available here in the penthouse. The outside is far too dangerous a place for him. We understand Sterling, we don't need to hear it for the- how many times Nova?" Luna asks. 

"612th time this year, which has only been six months." Nova states.

"Where have we heard that one before?" Leo asks, looking at Master Splinter with a knowing smirk, making his father groan in annoyance at his words, giving him a light glare in return. 

"So, how to find one mutated turtle in a city of 30 million?" Cody asks, with Donnie to his right and Nova to his left, all standing in the same pose, their left arm is loosely rest across their chests as the right hand is underneath their chin, in a casual thinking manner.

"Well, I know I'm just a yokel from the 21st century, but if your time window was based on the principle of non directional tachyon refraction then-" Donnie starts before Cody and Nova join him.

"There might be ambient traces of temporal sub particles in tow!" The three exclaim excitedly. 

"Great two other ones that speaks geek." Raph says, standing in between- yet behind- Cody and Donnie, examining their work. 

"Basically, some charged energy particles got stuck to your shells when you fell through time." Cody starts. "And, we can track that energy. There!" Donnie says, finding Mikey's location with a few clicks. 

"Shall I bring the limo around sir?" Sterling asks politely. "No wait. I have a better idea!" Cody says leading everyone to the Hover Shell him and Nova had been working on. 

~CUT TO WHERE THEY FINISH KICKING JAMMERHEAD'S SHELL~

"Nice of you to let us bunk here Cody." Leo says gratefully. "At least until we figure out how recreate the time portal accident." Donnie adds in. 

"You kidding? This is a dream come true for the girls and I. And well you guys and the girls, you're the closest thing to family I have. I just hope you can adjust to life in 2105." Cody says, but a cheer interrupted his moment when Mikey found the TV.

"Hey is this a TV remote? I love the future! Now let's see what else is on!" But Mikey's fun was interrupted by Raph grabbing him as they begin to fight over the remote again.

"Adjusting will not be a problem." Master Splinter says placing a reassuring hand on the young boy's shoulder.

Not long after, the rodent felt a light tug on his new robe. As he looks down at the source, he sees it's Bryleigh again. 

"Why hello, little one." Master Splinter says softly, kneeling down to be eye level with the little girl. 

"Hi, I Bryleigh...nice to you." Bryleigh says shyly, holding her hands in front of her, lightly shifting her weight side to side. "Oh Bryleigh has dyslexia, she has troubles with her speech a little. See meant nice to meet you." Cody reassures Splinter, as he had a confused face before when Bryleigh introduced herself. Splinter nods before redirecting his gaze back to the young child. "Nice to meet you too, Bryleigh, I'm Splinter. I'm your great grandfather's father." Splinter introduces. "Hi Splint...how do say it?" Bryleigh asked confused. "Like this Bry, Splint-ter. Now you try." Cody guides, kneeling down beside the rodent.

"Spl-spli-splint-splint-e...I can't do it, I sorry..." Bryleigh says sadly, feeling bad that she can't say the rodent's name correctly. "Don't worry, Splint is okay Bryleigh." Splinter reassures her, making her smile again and jump into his arms, giving him a hug, something he hasn't received from his children in a long time.
