The Crawl

Description: this is gonna be set like for season 5 btw, what i want to happen in season 5, (ik its not gonna happen) this might only be scenes of them together bc i love them so much and this is only for fun so don't expect it to be so like professional bc im just a bored girl

(a few minutes into the episode)

The screen pans to LUCAS, and MAX, still not awoken from the coma. LUCAS is sitting down on a chair alone waking up from a nightmare, since Erica decided to stay at home. LUCAS picks up a book from Stephen King, The Eye of the Dragon.

LUCAS:
Peter lay in his bed, his dark blue eyes looking at her solemnly. "What was that, Mother?"
"You didn't use your napkin"

As he was reading, he noticed the heart monitor going up, rapidly. He puts the book down, with his mouth wide open. He goes to the heart monitor, and then sees MAX moving her head side to side. LUCAS looks at MAX with confusion, worry, and scare. He picks up the hospital phone and calls the nurse that takes care of MAX. As soon as the nurse told him she was coming, he put the phone back and MAX started to move even more.

LUCAS:
(with worry)
Max, Max, can you hear me?

LUCAS:
Max if you can hear me it's gonna be fine, I promise

Right after, the nurse comes in, and the lights start flickering.

NURSE:
Do you know what happened?

LUCAS:
No, that's why I called you.

NURSE:
It looks like her heart rate is going up

LUCAS:
(scoffs)
Yes, obviously, can't you do something about it?

NURSE:
(she says getting closer)
Not really, but I can tell you one thing

LUCAS:
(furrowing his eyebrows)
W-what?...

NURSE:
She's not gonna survive, Lucas.

LUCAS:
What do you mean?..

NURSE:
She's not coming back, she belongs with me.

As LUCAS steps back, he accidentally trips and falls into a void, screaming MAX!!! as he falls.
Once he lands on the floor, what's surrounding him is walls of the Creel House.
What's around him is the exact same thing he saw the night that Max died.

As he explored the house, he went to the attic, where it all happened,
(IN A FLASHBACK/MEMORY)
and he saw Max, who was sitting down infront of a blue light, and getting possessed. He slowly walked up to her, and shook her.

LUCAS:
Max, wake up.

He continued to shake her, but then realized that the headphones were right next to her, already having Kate Bush so he put it on her, and unpaused the tape. He watched her as the faint sound of Kate Bush was playing. He looked around, and by surprise (not really), saw Vecna.

VECNA:
She's already gone.

LUCAS:
No, she isn't. Why did you have to do this to her?

VECNA:
(slight growl)
It's my only choice.

LUCAS:
(yelling at him)
No it isn't! You could've taken anyone else in Hawkins, or anywhere, but you decided to take her, and for no reason at all. I want her back.

VECNA:
She's still here, in my mind..
(points to his mind)

LUCAS:
(sigh)
How can I get to her?

VECNA:
(laugh)
You wouldn't want to do that.

VECNA uses his powers and pushes him against the wall. He walks closer. As LUCAS is held back by the force, he looks over at Max, who is already levitating.

VECNA:
Don't look at her, you can't save her.

LUCAS:
(struggling)

VECNA:
I want you to show them what you're going to see.

LUCAS:
(stays silent in confusion)
What?...

VECNA
(lightly growls)

VECNA places his long fingers over his face, showing him the future, just like he did to Nancy

VECNA shows him a series of moments. Hawkins being destroyed, hundreds and thousands of monsters from the Upside Down coming into the real world, the group going in the Upside Down again, but the part that relieved him was that Max does wake up and is not blinded, and something else...

Once LUCAS gets out of the trance, he collapses to the floor, all of the nurses surrounding him

NURSE 1:
Sinclair, are you alright?

LUCAS:
(lightheaded)
Yeah..

LUCAS notices MAX, who still hasn't woken up yet

LUCAS:
Is she.. okay?

NURSE 1:
She's fine? What do you mean?

LUCAS:
I called you guys because her heart rate went up, right?

The nurses look at each other, and NURSE 1 slowly shakes her head.

NURSE 1:
Look sweetie, we called your acquaintances to come pick you up, alright?

LUCAS:
What, why? I can't leave her unattended

NURSE 1:
(chuckles)
We're nurses for a reason, now go on, pack up your things.

In anger, LUCAS gets his things to go back home. Once he gets his things and walks to head out the door, he stares at MAX in a bit of sadness, and then leaves.
