After a few minutes of waiting for the nurses, MAX finally talks again
MAX:
Lucas, is anyone else here?
LUCAS:
Yeah, my sister
MAX:
Oh, hi Erica. I don't even know where you are
ERICA:
Heyy, right behind you guys
ERICA taps his shoulder, causing him to look back. She mouths the words "i can see the locked hands, i repeat, i can see the locked hands"
He mouths back, "shut up"
MAX:
Are you guys mouthing words to each other
LUCAS:
Uh, how did you know?
MAX:
I'm blind, not deaf idiot
LUCAS:
Oh umm
As soon as he was about to speak, the nurses come in the room with a wheelchair.
NURSE 2:
It's gonna be easier for her to get to places. But I have something to tell you.
LUCAS:

NURSE 2:
We are gonna run some eye tests and let's see if it affects her eye sight positively.
LUCAS:

NURSE 2:
You want your girlfriend to be able to see right?
MAX:
Woah, we aren't dating

(mutters)

NURSE 2:
Oh, sorry about that, but you want her to be able to see better, right?
LUCAS:
Yeah, i guess.
NURSE 2:
Okay then, I'm going to transport her to the eye room, It'll be quick, just wait in here.
The siblings nod as the nurse leaves the room with MAX on the wheelchair.
After just a few minutes, MAX enters the room, with the nurse right behind her.
NURSE 2:
She's all set! Max, can you see them?
MAX:
(squinting a bit)
NURSE 2:
No, no squinting, remember what we did
MAX:
Right, sorry.
NURSE 2:
(mouths to LUCAS)
Hold up 4 fingers
LUCAS:
(mouths back)

NURSE 2:
Lucas, can you hold up a finger to see if she is able to see it?
LUCAS holds up 3 fingers.
NURSE 2:
Now, Max, how many fingers do you see?
MAX:
Is it okay to say 3?
NURSE 2:
Yes! Absolutely! He was holding up 3 fingers!
MAX:
He's holding them up in an odd way though
NURSE 2:
Um, okay, well you can see better, right? Do you see Erica right behind Lucas?
MAX:
