Prologue
While The Rain is PouringPavina's point of view:
From all the days I could have forgotten my umbrella, bakit ngayon pang umuulan?
It is raining so heavily as if there's a typhoon coming. Napaiktad pa ako nang kumidlat at kumulog. I checked my phone and the time is only four o'clock in the afternoon.
And I don't know why it suddenly rain. Wala naman inannounce sa weather forecast. And I know that it's summer season since it's already the month of April. So, bakit uulan ng ganitong kalakas sa Pilipinas?
Probably, it's because of the climate change.
I tried to look for someone I know, but all of them are not familiar to me.
I checked my phone again. I tried contacting my friends. And they say that they still need to take their exam. It's actually our last week at university and we only had our final exam.
I murmured while wishing for the rain to stop for awhile.
And while waiting for that, I can see that most of the students who are with me are slowly walking away, holding their umbrella with them. Mukhang aalis na sila. It's almost half an hour and I've been waiting for the bus to stop here. And it seems it got stranded.
How long will I wait here?
I still have my part time job. If I can just walk from there, but it's too far and I don't have my umbrella with me.
There's no transportation going around.
Ano ng gagawin ko? My shift is at exactly 5 pm.
I contacted my boss at Wenstel Bookshop that I'll be late.
And I need to run as fast as I can. I let out a very heavy sigh before doing that.
"Oh, my..." I uttered, helplessly. Gosh! Maiiyak na talaga ako. Mukhang ayaw akong paalisin dito sa waiting shed ah.
"What to do?..." I whispered, irritatedly.
Ms. Glehn calling...
I answered it immediately.
"Hello, Ms. Glehn," I answered.
"Where are you, Vina? Are you still at school?"
"Oh, that's why you'll be late. Malakas pa rin ba ang ulan diyan?"
"Opo eh, hindi po ako makaalis."
"Ganoon ba?
