Chapter 1 - the Prologue

~ Hello! This is a new type of story I'm writing. A Severus Snape love story. I mostly write fanfiction involving the existing characters from the Harry Potter universe so I hope you loooove this story as much as I do. It was one of my favourite ones to write!

The characters and this universe belong to the amazing J.K.Rowling.

P.S: if you have ANY issue with the amazing author of the Harry Potter series—J.K.Rowling—then get off my page and go read something else! I will not tolerate any hate towards the original author. She is intelligent, her opinions are valid, so if you have an issue with her then there should be no reason for you to read any of my work.

Adeline Blanchet was a young woman, around 18 years old, her next birthday already coming up. She lived a quiet and very lonely life. An unnoticed presence, an unimportant one.

Just a regular girl living in France, who worked part time in a cafe near her flat. Adeline lived in Paris, the city of love, in a small shabby flat but as it overlooked a fairly large and green park, it was good enough. Not to mention it was all she could afford. The place was small but it fit her perfectly, cosy and even a bit dark at times. Her place had dark wooden floors, green wallpaper that was already peeling, and some very old furniture. But she kept it clean and well-maintained, fixing anything that was broken herself.

Adeline's life had been just a stream of challenges and heartbreaks since her parents had died when the girl had been very young, around age 2. She ended up in foster care, going from one family to the next until she turned 16. At that age, Adeline left the system, taking all she had in a black rubbish bag, and going off.

She got a place to live after saving up for a while, and one of her friends even helped her get a job in a small but cute coffee shop. There Adeline would make customers' drinks, serve them cakes and cookies, often she saw very rich Parisian women and tourists come in, drink coffee, laugh, and live the life she had always been dreaming of living.

After turning 18, Adeline had finally gotten accepted into college, working her way up slowly. She had a plan, a vision, a dream.

In the future, she would live in a small cottage with a very large family, many kids, and a wonderful and intelligent husband.

That would be her ideal life.

She wanted to live away from the city and finally know how it feels to have a family, a big one, something that she had never experienced for herself. The girl dreamed of loud and messy Christmases, hectic vacations, and even family fights.

Even though everything was starting to look up for Adeline, right after her acceptance letter came, like always in life, her efforts were for nothing. All soon be taken away.

Adeline, just like she had appeared on this earth, would soon disappear. No one would notice. Her presence had never been big enough to affect even a butterfly.

Just wanted to let you all know. This chapter is just a short prologue, the story starts off in the next chapter. ♥ Every chapter will be much longer than this one.

I hope you all enjoy, Severus Snape is a dear and beloved character, and one of my own personal favourites in the Harry Potter Universe.
