I stood at the altar, my heart heavy with despair. I couldn't believe I was about to spend the rest of my life with Alandro, when all I could think about was Leo.

As the ceremony began, I couldn't help but glance over at Leo, who was standing in the back of the church, his eyes fixed intently on me. His gaze was like a lifeline, pulling me under, making me feel like I was drowning in a sea of despair.

I tried to focus on the words being spoken, but they were just a distant hum in the background. My eyes kept drifting back to Leo, who never teared his eyes away from me.

And then, the moment of truth arrived. The priest asked Alandro if he took me to be his wife, and he replied, "I do."

But when it was my turn, I hesitated. I looked at Alandro, then back at Leo, who was still staring at me with an intensity that made my heart race.

"I do," I whispered finally, the words feeling like a betrayal, like I was surrendering a part of myself.

As we exchanged rings and sealed our fate, I couldn't help but feel like I was making a mistake. Like I was choosing the wrong path, the wrong man but it was decided for mr I had no say.

Leo's eyes never left mine, and I could sense his disappointment, his heartache. I knew I loved him, but I had no my choice.

I had to.

As we were pronounced husband and wife, I felt a sense of desperation wash over me. I knew I had to get out of there, to escape the prison I had just willingly entered.

And then, I saw Leo turn and walk away, disappearing into the crowd, leaving me alone with my new husband.

I watched as Leo vanished into the sea of guests, feeling a pang of loss and regret. I had made my choice, but it didn't feel like the right one.

Alandro took my hand, his smile wide and triumphant. "My wife," he whispered, his voice dripping with possessiveness.

I forced a smile, trying to push aside the doubts and fears that were swirling inside me. But as we turned to face our guests, I caught sight of Leo's retreating back, and my heart ached.

The reception was a blur of noise and color, but I couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness inside. I went through the motions, smiling and laughing, but it all felt so hollow.

And then, I saw him again. Leo. Standing across the room, his eyes fixed on me with a intensity that made my heart skip a beat.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as our eyes met, and for a moment, it was like the whole world had melted away. Leaving only us. And the what-ifs.

But then, Alandro's voice cut through the moment, pulling me back to reality. "My dear, it's time for our first dance."

I nodded, trying to push aside the thoughts of Leo, but they lingered, haunting me like a ghost.

As Alandro led me onto the dance floor, I couldn't help but feel like I was trapped in a nightmare. The music swirled around us, a cacophony of happiness and celebration, but I felt suffocated by it.

I glanced around the room, searching for an escape, and that's when I saw him again. Leo. Standing at the edge of the dance floor, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity.

I felt a jolt of electricity run through me as our eyes met, and for a moment, I forgot about Alandro, forgot about the wedding, forgot about everything except the two of us.

But then, Alandro's hand tightened around mine, pulling me back to reality. "You're mine now," he whispered, his voice low and possessive.

I forced a smile, trying to hide the turmoil inside, but Leo's eyes saw right through me. I knew he knew I didn't want to be here, didn't want to be with Alandro.

The music ended, and we applauded, but I felt like I was dying inside. Trapped in a life I didn't want, with a man I didn't love.

And then, I saw Leo turn and walk away, disappearing into the crowd, leaving me alone with my new husband.

But I knew I wouldn't be alone for long. I could feel Leo's eyes on me, watching me, and all i wanted to do was leave and go run into his arms but I knew I couldn't. I didn't even know if he felt the same way.
