I counted down the hours until Leo's return, my excitement growing with each passing minute. Finally, the door opened, and he walked in, his eyes scanning the room until they found me.

"Jess," he whispered, dropping his bag and striding towards me.

I met him halfway, flinging myself into his arms. We kissed like we'd been apart for years, the passion between us igniting like a wildfire.

As we broke apart for air, Leo's eyes locked onto mine. "I'm home," he said, his voice filled with emotion.

I smiled, feeling a sense of completeness. "You're home," I repeated, my heart full.

We spent the rest of the day wrapped in each other's arms, rekindling the flame that had burned bright between us.

Alandro walked into the kitchen, oblivious to the tension between Leo and me. "Hey, Father, hey Jess," he said, pouring himself a cup of coffee.

Leo and I exchanged a brief glance, our secret still safe. For now.

"Morning, son," Leo replied, his voice neutral.

I forced a smile, trying to blend in. "Hey, Alandro. How was your night?"

Alandro launched into a story about his day, and I listened intently, trying to appear interested. Meanwhile, Leo's eyes met mine, his gaze burning with intensity.

I knew what he was thinking - that our secret was still safe, but for how long? That we had to be careful, had to keep up the charade until we could figure out our next move.

As Alandro finished his story and headed out the door, Leo's hand brushed against mine. It was a fleeting touch, but it sent shivers down my spine.
