Ruhi kapoor

I pulled over, my car sputtering and dying on the deserted road. Great, just what I needed. A broken-down car in the middle of nowhere. I stepped out, the cool night air sending shivers down my spine. The darkness seemed to swallow me whole, making me feel vulnerable. My phone had no signal and I was completely alone.

Headlights appeared in the distance, and my heart sank. A rusty old van pulled beside me, and four rowdy men spilled out, reeking of a cheap liquor. Their laughter sent a chill down my spine.

"Well, well, well....look what we got here," one of them sneered, his eyes roaming over my body. I felt a surge of fear, but I refused to show it.

"Need some help, sweetheart?" Another one asked, his tone dripping with malice.

I tried to stay calm, but my heart was racing. "Just need to call a tow truck, thanks." They closed in, their faces twisted into cruel grins. One of them reached out to grab me, and i shoved him away, adrenaline coursing through my veins.

"Stay away!" I warned, trying to sound firm. They laughed, their jeers and catcalls escalating. I knew I had to get away. I sprinted back to my car, fumbling for the door handle. My hands trembled as I locked myself inside.

The men pounded on the windows, their taunts and laughter growing louder. I started the engine, praying it would roar back to life. Miraculously, it coughed and lurched forward. I floored it, speeding away from the would-be assailants.

My car sputtered to a halt once more, leaving me stranded in an unfamiliar area, far from the comfort of my neighbourhood. The darkness closed in around me like a shroud, and to make matters worse, my phone remained stubbornly devoid of signal, plunging me into a terrifying isolation.

Just as I was starting to lose hope, I saw headlights in the distance. A car pulled up Beside me, and i sprinted towards it, desperation fuelling my movements. As the door swung open, I froze. Shaan zarren, the musician, gazed back at me, his piercing eyes locking onto mine.

"Shaan!" I screamed, excitement overwhelming me. my voice echoed through the night, mingling with the cricket's gentle chirping.

His eyes widened, alarm flashing across his face. Without thinking, shaan's lips crashing onto mine. Soft, yet urgent. His breath mingled with mine, sending shivers down my spine. I tasted the faint hint of his mint on his tongue.

His hand wrapped around my waist, pulling me close. His fingers warm and strong, pressed into my skin. I felt the roughness of his stubble, the gentle pressure of his lips. The world narrowed to the sensation of his kiss. Time suspended.

As suddenly as it began, shaan broke the kiss. His chest heaved, eyes still locked onto mine. "Breath," he whispered, his voice husky, low.

I gasped, reality crashing back. The darkness, the stranded car, all forgotten in the wake of shaan's kiss. His hands grasped my arms, gently dragging me into the warmth of his car. The soft hum of engine and the scent of leather enveloped me.

"Why did you scream?" Shaan asked, his voice low and husky, his eyes searching mine. I stared, blank and bewildered. My mind struggled to process the sudden kiss, the warmth still radiating through my body. His lips soft and gentle, lingered in my memory.

All i could manage was a barely audible whisper, "Is this a dream?" My gaze drifted over shaan's features, taking in the sharp jawline, piercing eyes and messy hair. My cheeks burned, a foolish blush spreading across my face.

Shaan sighed, "I'm sorry, if I hadn't kissed you, by now there would be a crowd. You see, I'm alone tonight. No bodyguards, no entourage."

His words washed over me, but I was lost in the haze of his kiss. My eyes locked onto his, transfixed by his intensity.
