When we finally landed, we hopped on another bus, and this time we could pick our own seats. My friends and I chose seats at the back, which was perfect for us. I sat by the window, with Kimberly next to me, Anke beside her, and Lena on the other side by the window. We spent the ride laughing and chatting, soaking up the excitement of the trip.
We arrived at the hotel around 2 in the afternoon. The lobby was bright and welcoming, and we headed up to our room. I was amazed when I saw it—it was huge! There were two king-sized beds, a big closet, and a bathroom to the side. The view from our room was incredible. I didn't know our school had such a great budget for this trip.
After we settled in and unpacked, we changed into our outfits. I wore a long green dress that reached my ankles, while my friends wore shorts and crop tops. I usually avoid revealing clothes because of my scars. I pulled my hair into a low bun and felt ready for the next adventure.
We had some time before our first group activity, so we decided to explore the hotel. We took the elevator down to the main floor, where we discovered a stunning pool and a fancy restaurant. The food at the restaurant was pricey but delicious—it felt like a taste of paradise.
