Years and years of dreading to know who her father was, Sarah always expected it to be the most amazing day of her life. Thinking, having the man in her life would be the most extraordinary thing ever. Imagining the most famous men to be that man she had met one day. Thinking of the many possibilities of what would happen if she had met him. If her mother and her father might have gotten together, maybe, things would be different.

But, it wasn't.

She couldn't get that possibility. She couldn't get that normal life, with both parents. Nor the life she had always been head over heels for. All the things she'd wish for, gone with the few of four words.

'Your mother is dead.'

Thinking she'd be handed into custody to her aunt, or any other distant family. Wishing that was the case. Yet, here she was, sitting in an expensive car, clutching her book bag to her chest, as she stared at the picture of her and her mother.

She kept glancing out at the empty tarmac, waiting for the plane her father was on, landed.

Pepper Potts stood outside, talking with the men in suits, and uniforms. By the looks of it, they were in a stern conversation, with the red head glancing back at the girl in the car as she spoke.

Sarah looked around, then at her bag. The sentimental things, and some other important items included. Stuff like pictures, old notebooks/diaries from her mother, books, and other small things that she didn't trust at the Stark Mansion.

It was when a chubby man entered the car, that made her break out of her thoughts. Happy Hogan, the name was. Driver and bodyguard for Tony Stark. The Hogan man looked at her, smiling softly as he sat down.

Yet Sarah had jumped a little as the car shut closed, startled by the appearance of the male. She was scared he could hear her heart beating so fast, as if it were someone banging their head on a table countless of times. Can you imagine it? That's how loud it was. To herself, at least.

Happy for situated in his seat then looked at her through the rear view mirror, shutting the door, he sighed. "Alright, kid." He started, another small sigh leaving him. "I know this is a lot, alright? Need anything? It won't take much longer..." he stated.

For context, Anthony Stark was captured after presenting weapons in Iraq, and well, that's pretty much it. And now, he was heading back home, with no single clue that he had a daughter waiting with his assistant and bodyguard.

Sarah only nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat. "Thank you, Mr. Hogan. Do...do you know when he'll be here?" She asked hesitantly, she played with her ring.

Happy shrugged slightly and shook his head. "Anytime now, kiddo. If you hear something loud, it's the engines, so keep out for that." He told the teenager. Then leaned back into his seat, glancing out onto the tarmac, then met eyes with her again through the mirror. He sighed softly and smiled. "It'll be alright. Just...be yourself and don't act as someone you aren't. Then everything will go smoothly." He assured.

'Yeah right.' Sarah had thought. From what she'd heard, almost nothing went smoothly with that man. Maybe she heard wrong.

Maybe not.

A buzz of a phone was what cut through the awkward silence. The two heads snapped toward the direction of the vibration. Happy picked up his phone, quickly reading it. He nodded and looked back at Sarah. It was then when the sound of an engine roaring over the vehicle. Sarah's head immediately went to the window, trying to get the best view of the aircraft.

The shiny grey plane that descended down onto the tarmac.

Sarah just wanted to go home at this point.
