This story has been in my mind for a long time, alongside the world. It's changed so much since I first came up with it, and I finally feel it's time I start presenting it to everyone. Fantasy's always been one of my favourite genres: the court intrigues involved and the overarching plots that come together, the mystery of the world, the rich history, the vibrant aesthetics, and so much more. So, I decided to make this an adventure story. It goes against a lot of what I want to do, but I wanted to make this because I felt that this story should be light, fun, and engaging whilst still putting in a little bit of all those things I love about fantasy.

I want this to be an introduction to this world and to give you, the reader, a chance to gauge what kind of writer I am. It's not the first story I've posted here, but since writing The Broken Crown, I've progressed a lot.

The world is heavily inspired by real life, from British medieval history to Italian, French, and Danish history, with a mix of German. Of course, I should mention that other fantasy stories have inspired me. I'm a huge fan of George R.R. Martin and his works, and I take much inspiration from them.

I don't want to linger on this any longer, so I will end by saying thanks to my brother, who helped me so much in creating this story and aided me with the knowledge I needed to better equip myself for this. I am now at the stage to call myself a professional at this, but I still have so much to learn. I hope to continue my journey in writing. Enjoy this story. I'd love to hear all kinds of feedback and comments about it.

P.S. The map you are about to see is rough, as I'm not an artist.
