-- Pound POV--

i walk out of the store with my bag in hand, He seemed nice. a bit... distant.. but nice! Thank goodness.

...ugh.. its only been two weeks here and i'm already started to die from boredom and loneliness.. i decided to move here for the company i'm working for.. they wanted to open up office here and offered the opportunity with some amenities, i wouldn't of joined if everyone in my previous office hadn't told me how good i would be at the job.

they unfortunately really struck my ego, and foolishly i decided to join. now i live here, with no friends, and i barley know anyone. "its new, ill get used to it eventually" i keep telling myself.

i walk into my apartment, its quite boring an barren for now. i really should decorate it more, but i just haven't gotten too it yet. i place the bag on my counter and pull the contents out, immediately putting the ice cream away in the freezer before starting to set up my expresso machine.

i put on some music as i put in the in the expresso pods and start the expresso machine. i hum along to the song as i pull out the ice cream again, grabbing a small clear glass or serve it in. the espresso machine makes a beep letting me know its done.

i pour the expresso over the icecream before grabbing my laptop and heading to my table. i atleast have work to do to distract me for me now. i open my laptop and go to my emails, i see one from my company letting me know of a client that's coming to pick up there papers later today. hm.. around 5 it looks like... alright then.

the company i work for is one that helps manages and publish businesses. (idk what im talking about here please don't question it too much.) were i lived back before our company was a pretty popular option for doing so, so naturally we decided to brand out... outside of the country. the work i have for today is mainly looking through applications from businesses and then checking out the resume of some of our new possible hires.

i check the list and notice 2 applications from people named.. Chipstack and... caramel apple. i look over there resumes realizing there quite similar.. both business minors.. both graduated from the same high school.. and both around the same age.

huh, they must be friends. well... though its slightly discouraged to hire people that know each other... they are both some of the first applications we have, and its not like there resumes are bad or anything..

i end up deciding to interview them, sending them both emails. hey it will be good to build an office community that better knows each other anyway. ugh you really, really, need to start making friends pound...

-- fireballs POV--

i continued working, looking at the clock constantly. i couldn't wait to go home. it some how got extra busy after it hit 12 and the store suddenly became nightmare time. (ref hehe) when it FINALLY hit 4 i walked to the back to put away my apron and clock out, before my boss service bell stopped me.

"hey, Fireball can you go pick up some paper work for the store, like around 5ish.." great. i would say no, but with the current state of my employment record it doesn't seem like a very good idea as he wants to try and keep this job. i sighs and grit a fake smile. "sureeee."

"great. see you tomorrow. she walks away and i quietly grumble to myself.  whatever, its just getting some stupid papers from somewhere and then i get to go home. no big deal. though when i finally have all my things packed up and go to the door, i realize its raining. not just light rain either, its pouring.

i go back and grab my umbrella, frankly pissed. this is just great. great. super, freaking great.  i walk outside opening my umbrella, walking the direction of the building. i try my best with the umbrella to not get my self or my bad wet, witch unfortunately proves to be difficult. i eventually make it to the tall building were i'm supposed to pick up the papers.

i'm not exactly in the mood to talk to anyone right now. so i've got to try my absolute hardest to come off like a complete ass right now. i approach the door seeing the light is on and knock on it before just deciding to go in as i want to get this over with.

i walk into your average office building first floor area, its pretty simple and clean, there a small seating area and a receptionists desk. not many people seem to be present in the area. i hear a quick sorry from what sounds like someone coming down the stairs. the voice sounds oddly familiar, but i quickly realize why.

"uh- hey sorry mate i just needed to- Oh!" we both quickly recognize each other. its the guy from earlier. "oh, hey" he smiles before handing me a folder. "uh here's the work, you can tell your boss its due before the 24th.." i take the folder from him, a small smile escaping myself. "yeah, thanks man" i wave before getting ready to head back out into the rain before i hear him yell something, "Hey mate! wait, do you want a ride? its uh.. raining pretty hard out there.."

a ride? i would usually say no, as much as i hate the rain. but for some reason before i could even think about the question i say "uh, yeah sure." i see him smile happily as he quickly goes to grab something then head back towards me. "uh, im Pound by the way" he opens the door for me and i walk out. "uh, Fireball"

we walk to his car, and we start driving to my place, chatting about small things on the way. once we got to my place i got out the car and said bye. as he drove away and i started making my way back to my apartment i found myself smiling to myself. pound huh, he's nice, i kinda hope i see him again.
