"Think of this place like it's a map of the US. Our cell over there, that's New York city. Infirmary, our exit, that's California. The pipes beneath our feet that connect the two..."
"Route 66." Sucre said. Sucre, Micheal, Abuzzi, and Izzy sat on the bleachers where they talked about the plan.
"Route 66. Our ticket out of here." Micheal looked down at the girl, she held the necklace he'd given her in her hands. He was worried about her, her black eye had gone down, Sara fixed her stickes, the bruising on her jaw had gone away, she still had a spit lip and a cut eye brow but nothing damaging.
"I assume we're doing this at night." Abuzzi said looking at the boy who was looking at Izzy.
"That's right."
"We're locked up, Fish, and your boy is in solitary. How we just gonna fly out of our cages and right into your cell, right into new york city?" Abuzzi asked.
"You're not. You're gonna meet me halfway. In st. louis. Route 66 runs directly beath that building. It's the only building sitting on top of those tunnels. All we gotta do is get in there on PI and dig ourselves an on-ramp. Shortly after we hit the infirmary. Then we'll be outside those walls." Micheal said placing a hand on Izzy's shoulder.
"You ok?" He whispered and she nodded.
"What's in there?" Sucre asked not seeing the moment between the two.
"It's an old storage room. I figure John here can pull all the strings he needs." Micheal said.
"It's not that easy, fish. That's a restriced area. I gotta be able to justify it to the bulls, you know. There's gotta be some actual work to be done in there for me to get in there. You follow?"
"Then you better figure it out. Cause if we don't get in that room, we're not getting out of here." Micheal said glancing down at Izzy once again, who was staring out into space again.
"I'm feeling kinda left out. New york, califorina, st. louis. What are we duscussing?" T-bag asked walking over to where the 4 sat.
"Talking baseball, actually." Micheal said making T-bag look at Izzy.
"Princess here talking baseball?"
"You seen me talkin much?" She snapped back.
"Just thought since your so good at basketball you'd be good at baseball." T-bag said.
"More of my dad's sport." That was a lie, he didn't need to know that.
"Well that's a topic i know quite a bit about." T-bag said leaning againest the bleachers.
"What a shame. The conversation's over." Abuzzi said making all of them stand up.
"Really, now, that any way to treat a teammate?" Micheal grabbed Izzy's hand subconsiuly again pulling her away from t-bag.
"I'm coming along on this endeavor whether you like it or not. Cause i got a hell of a singing voice otherwise." T-bag said as they all kept walking away. Izzy pulled her hand out of Micheal's as she felt her hand get sweaty, they walked side by side in silence, when he was about to ask her if she was okay again Abuzzi stopped them.
"I won't take that piece of crap along. I won't do it." he said. "Finally something we agree on." Izzy muttered making Micheal glance down at her.
"I with her." Sucre said walking past them.
"We won't have to. He'll be out of the picture soon enough."
