                                       a week later

"Good morning, sunshine." Angela said as she saw you walk into the kitchen.

"Good morning, Ang." You said with a soft smile.

"I made you two love birds breakfast."

You softly giggled at the nick name. "Thank you. I'm pretty sure she's still sleeping."

"Well, I suppose you could wait for her. Or, you could wake her up with some breakfast in bed." She raised a brow as she placed a tray onto the island countertop. It had some pancakes a small serving of eggs and a fruit bowl with a glass of orange juice and a vase with three pink flowers in it.

You softly smiled as you looked at Angela. "Thank you, Ang. You really are the best." You said as you took the tray off the counter.

"Don't mention it."

You turned around and walked upstairs with the tray. You gently kicked open the door to your room and saw Penelope sat up in bed, leaning against the headboard. She smiled when her eyes landed on you. When her eyes wandered down to the tray in your hand she pouted before making eye contact again.

"Are you kidding?" She questioned.

"Good morning pretty girl." You placed the tray over her lap. "Breakfast is served." You said with a soft smile before laying a gentle kiss on her cheek.

"Thank you." She said softly.

You took a seat next to her on the edge of the bed. "Of course." You took a strawberry from her bowl of fruit and took a bite. "How did you sleep?" You asked.

"Amazing." She said as she took a bite of the pancakes.

"Good." You tossed the rest of the strawberry in your mouth.

She was just staring at you. You could tell she wanted to ask you something but was hesitant to do so.

"Whats the matter?" You asked.

She furrowed her brows.

"I can tell you want to ask me something. So, what is it?"

"I just, uh," She looked down before looking back up at you. "You said Luca and Jack would be gone for three days but it's been over a week and I haven't heard you mention them."

You sat up straight. "Yeah. I haven't really spoken to them, to be honest. They've just been doing their own thing." You said, telling only half the truth.

"I can't even look at the two of you right now. Because if you were in front of me, I would kill you."

"Y/n, we don't know how else to apologize. It won't happen again."

"It shouldn't have happened in the first place!" You yelled before hanging up.

"Oh." Penelope said simply.

You slightly furrowed your brows. "You don't believe me."

She furrowed her brows. "Wha-"

"It's fine." You cut her off. "It's okay if you don't believe me."

"I didn't say that." She said as she shook her head.

"I can tell you don't believe me. Your body language, your eyes."

"My body language? What are you profiling me?" She asked.
