The Girl

On the bus: Luis POV

This girl was driving me crazy. When she first walked in i though she was lost, but then I find out she is going to be playing for team USA. She was short and looked like if Dean were to smash her into the boards she would snap in half. She looked like she should be cheering us on from the bench not playing. Everyone on my team back in Miami were guys, we would hit each other into the boards and be rough around each other. This damn girl made it seem like we had to be more careful.

I didn't know her but just her being on the team made me not like her. 

When they were doing our introductions she laughed at me after I fell. Its not my fault i struggle to stop. I was sure that when she did her introduction she wasn't going to do anything impressive.

She shoots the puck from the other side of the rink and makes it?! How did she do that? Maybe it was just a lucky shoot? Is she actually a decent player? She does it again and then hits the puck from out of the air and makes it also.

"So what if she can shoot doesn't mean she can play defense or pass," I thought to myself.

When we had to scrimmage she carried her weight but that still didn't make me like her. Sure i was glad she wasn't a terrible player but I still didn't want to be on her team.

I sat in my seat on the bus beside Dwayne and though about her. I don't know why i was thinking of her but when i did it made me frustrated. Why did I hate her but also couldn't stop thinking of her?

All of the sudden I feel the bus move and snap back into reality. I lean back in my seat and say to Dwayne, "These dorms better be nice."

"As long as we get a bed and four walls I'm good to go," Dwayne says putting his hands behind his head and leaning back in his seat also.

We hear a voice come from the seats beside us. "I hope they have free breakfast," Says Goldberg butting into our conversation.

"Of course you do fat ass," Said the boy beside him.

"Shut up Jesse," Goldberg said looking away from us and back at Jesse.

Everyone around us started to laugh and when they were finished everyone had their own conversations.

Dwayne and I talked to Dean and ken who sat behind us for majority of the ride to the dorms. 

We all felt the bus come to a stop and I looked out the window and saw a brick building that looked to be around five floors. We all got off the bus and the bus driver opened the compartment that held all our bags.

We all started grabbing the bags close to the opening but after we pulled out the first six peoples bag out of the hatch they were getting to far back to reach. "Who wants to climb inside?" Dean said and laughed while looking at everyone.

"Well it sure as hell ain't going to be Goldberg," Jesse said and everyone laughed.

"What is your problem with me today man," Goldberg said and looked at Jesse offended.

Goldbergs comment just made everyone laugh more. "But seriously guys, someone needs to climb in and get the stuff," One of the ducks who we had seen wearing the captain C said.

"Hadley why don't you?" Connie said and pushed Hadley slightly forward.

"Why me?" She said and looked back at Connie after catching herself.

"Because your the smallest," Connie said.

"Fine, whatever," Hadley said and climbed into the little hatch handing bags out one by one.
