She sits on the wheelchair and slowly she grabs on the metal bars on both of her side. She grips on the metal bar, tightly as she slowly tries to stand up, putting all her weight on her arms, lifting her whole body. She takes a deep breath once her attempt to stand up is a success. Amaryllis try to moves one of her legs forward. First attempt, she succeeds, with little trick from her helping hand, she knows that it wasn't supposed to be like that, but at least, she wants to lie to herself for a bit. That she will heal, she will be able to walk again, and she will feel her feet running on the ground again. She takes another deep breath as she tries the second step. This time, the luck, luck her out. Amaryllis's arms have become numb from keeping herself stand for a while and she couldn't help it. Amaryllis falls down face first and she hits the floor. 'Urgh. Fail again!' she cursed under her breath about to lose her patience.
"Mrs. Carter!" she heard the nurse in charge for her therapy yells loudly at her. She looks up, grinning innocently at the same time as her hand gripping on the rail again as she pulls her legs close to her in attempt to sit down properly. The nurse, Tilda Minnow is a nice girl. She insisted before that she should hold Amaryllis during the session, but Amaryllis declined her, saying that it's already her tenth time undergoing the therapy. She knows what she needs to do and she shouldn't force herself too much. But Amaryllis has troubled her too much already for nine times, so she wants to try it once by herself. Guess she was wrong; he still needs the girl to help her. "Gosh...your lips...it's bleeding...Mr. Carter will scold me for good..." she said pouting while Amaryllis just chuckles at her reaction. "Calm down...my husband wouldn't hunt you down...I'll explain to him...uhm, but may I trouble you again? I couldn't get on my chair..." she said, still grinning happily at her making the nice girl smile back to her as well. Although she's thirty-two now, Amaryllis is still adorable and looks cute. Tilda was having hard time believing at first, but when Amaryllis showed her, her patient card, Tilda can't help but to say yes that Amaryllis is older by seven years from her. Tilda smiles sweetly and nods her head. "Of course, Mrs. Carter..." she said as she wraps an arm around Amaryllis's waist and Amaryllis wraps one of her arms around Tilda's shoulder to get up. Tilda helps her patient to the chair and once Amaryllis is sat on the wheelchair, she fixes her feet and properly covers Amaryllis's legs with the blanket.
"Thank you, Tilda...but you forgot again," Amaryllis pouted, lips jutted outward making her pale face look lively although she's actually in pain.
"Forgot what Mrs. Carter?"
"I asked you to drop the formality...we are going to be hang around together so much...it's uncomfortable with you keep calling me Mrs. Carter..."
"Sorry Mrs...."
"Ehem...." Amaryllis clears her throat, Tilda giggles again at the cute warning as she nods her head.
"Okay then...Amy..." and Amaryllis beams happily, like a sunflower blooming to the fullest. Strange indeed, only with her innocent looking smiles, people around her inside the same therapy room started to smile as well. Soon, there is happy laughter like the gentle sounds of the wind chimes graced by the fresh winds emitted from the room. Tilda begins nagging Amaryllis on to take it slow and do not rush it. Healing takes time and rushing it wouldn't bring anything good to herself at all.
Amaryllis looks at her watch before she begins playing around. Moving her electrical wheelchair (which Alden spend some enormous money for it) forward and backward, and she begin moving around, circling the small ponds in the center of the park situated right in the middle of North Port Medical Centre. She's getting bored as she waited for almost half an hour for Isaac to come and pick her up. It's not like she didn't want to go home by herself, but taxi doesn't usually take disable person like her, not to mention that her wheelchair is too big for a taxi since it is an electric one. Taking the subways and buses are not in questions either, so Amaryllis is really left with no other options. It's not like she can't call Alden and asked for her twin to help her out, but if by calling him, her twin need to take the plane from Celadon Spring Island to North Port then that will be more troublesome. Alden is staying there to run their family's chalet and restaurant. Believe it or not her twin brother is really is an amazing chef. Besides, with Joanne's condition, eight months pregnant is really not a good period of time to be flying around. If miscalculated, Joanne might give birth on the plane. Gosh, God forbid! Speaking of pregnancy, Amaryllis can't help but to have her hand travel down to her own flat tummy. Her fingers can still trace the rough uneven skin under the thick layer of clothes Isaac made her wear since the husband of her said it'll be a bit chilly today.
