You wake up, the light from your new room's window gleaming into your eyes. You groggily rub your face as you wait for your eyes to adjust to the brightness. Next to you lies Gabriel, you scratch under his chin, waking him up. Gabe excitedly jumps out of bed, his paws scratching on the wooden floor. He's ready for the day.

You reach into your backpack, pulling out a few things to put in your pockets; you figure you won't have to lug around this heavy thing all day today. You also make sure to grab your crossbow.

You run your fingers through your hair before walking out the door, "C'mon, boy!" You pat your hands on your thighs to make Gabe follow you, and he listens.

Your boots scuff against the wooden floors of the hallway, and you can't help but stare around at the walls as you walk through. There's lots of graffiti covering the walls, and cobwebs up in the corners of the ceiling. A warm orange light shines through the windows, casting gradient squares against the floor. You hear the faint song of birds, and you make your way towards the door to the outside.

The sun is bright, and warm. It feels like you're back in bed the moment you step outside. Looking around you see Willy running around as if he's trying to catch something, Aasim sat at a picnic table with Omar, they seem to be chatting. And looking over to your left, you see Violet sat up on a wall. She's looking down at you, almost analytically.

You wave to her, and she gives no response back. She just turns her head away and looks over to the forest outside the walls instead. You keep in mind what Ruby told you about her seeming cold at first, and hope that maybe you guys can be friends later.

"Goodmorning," a voice beckons from behind you.

   It's Marlon.

"Morning," you respond with a slight smile.

"So, uh, 'bout what we said yesterday,"

"I was thinking, you, Louis and Violet could head up to both the hunting grounds and fishing grounds. Figure it'll be quick and easy since you're not on foot," He explains.

You nod, pulling out the folded up map from your pocket.

"Can you point to where those two spots are?" You hold it out to him.

"'Course," he looks down at the map, sliding his finger across it till he reaches a spot.

"There!" he then points to another one, "and there."

"Alright then, think we should head out now?"

He nods, "It doesn't really matter when, but seeing as you might be leaving after this, now would probably be a better time."

You look down at the ground, you honestly had forgotten that you'd have to leave eventually, "Yeah.." You frown.

"Somethin' wrong?"

"Part of me doesn't want to leave, haha-"

He shakes his head, "Well nobody's making you!"

You look up, a slight look of shock on your face, "Really?" You smile.

"Well depending on how well things go today, maaaaaybe I'll stay," you joke.

He chuckles, "Alright, I'm pretty sure Vi is already ready to head out, I'll go find Louis. He might be sleeping in."

You watch as Marlon walks away, and turn your vision towards Violet; who has now crawled down from the wall and is waiting by the gate. After telling Gabe to stay where he is in the courtyard, you make your way over to her, hoping that maybe you'll get a response by saying hello this time.
