"Maybe that's not a discussion for down here."

Phoenix took a deep breath and tried to hold in whatever emotions she was feeling right now. Phoenix took her mother to her desk. She has her own space now since she's John's personal assistant.
"Why in hell are you here?! At my work! How did you even know where I work?"
"No te hagas ilusiones, Phoenix. I was looking for your father. As if I'd come looking for you. But since you're here, you can just take me to him." (Don't flatter yourself)
"Haha!"
Phoenix needs to say words like 'haha' because when she hears or sees something funny, she can't laugh or smile.
"You can't be serious? You think I actually know where he is?"
"You were always his precious butterfly. You knew everything about him."
"I haven't seen him in almost 16 years! I don't know if he's even alive. And even if I did know where he was, I wouldn't tell you."
"I am his wife!"
"You were his wife!"
"I bet you've been feeding everyone your little sob story. I lost my husband because of you!"
"You lost your family because you were on drugs! Let me guess! You're still on them!"
"Just tell me where your father is!"
"I don't know! It's been 16 years since I saw either of you. Do you really think I know where he is?"
"You're lying."
"Just go."
"I'm not going anywhere until I get some answers."
"You want answers? How about you give me some? Why did you put me up for adoption when the divorce was finalized? Why wasn't I allowed to speak Swedish? Why did I never smile? Why did I never laugh? Why did you take drugs when you had a family that loved you?! Why did you beat and hate your only child?! Why wasn't I good enough for you?! Why didn't I make you happy?! All I did was love you and repaid me with physical and emotional abuse! Why did you starve me when Dad was away on business trips?! Oh, right, to pay for your drug problem! You're lucky I didn't tell him everything or I'm sure your ass would have been in prison. So don't you dare come here and demand to try and solve something you destroyed a long time ago! I'm not the 5 year old girl you can push around and manipulate. You will never be my mother and I don't ever want to see you again."
"You think you are so strong and brave, but you are still that weak little girl."
"You came back here seriously thinking he'd still love you. You're a pathetic druggy who has no one."
In a flash, Rosalyn slapped Phoenix across the face.
"Don't you dare disrespect me you spoiled insignificant brat!"
Flashes to the times Phoenix was 5 came flooding back.
I hope you'll be home soon, Pappa. I miss you when you're away. Mamma leaves me alone when you are here. Jag älskar dig, Pappa. (I love you, Dad)
"What are you doing?"
"I was just looking out the window for Pappa."
"Well, he won't be home until tomorrow. Now get your dirty feet off the sofa! And I told you to never speak Swedish!"
