~Upon getting the call from a very upset Y/N,

Akaashi immediately went to her home.

He also left his apartment before Jo could get there.

When he arrived, she immediately jumped at him, sobbing in his arms as he tried to calm her down.

He softly stroked her hair, "Y/N, it's gonna be okay. I mean, we both knew she was gonna be upset."

"I know but! This was just a new level! I've never seen her this upset! Not even when you broke up with her! You should've seen her face! She-"

"Hey, it's gonna be okay, I promise. We just need to give her time to cool off."

Y/N sniffed as she got off him, "No. She's never going to forgive me. I knew this was a bad idea. I knew we should've stopped."

"But we didn't."

"Yeah! And that's the problem! I didn't respect Jo or her boundaries and I stepped into her territory knowing it was a bad thing!"

"There's nothing we can do now except let time pass."

"I don't care. You shouldn't even be here right now! I'm so-"

Her breathing began to get heavy as she found it a little hard to breathe.

Noticing, Akaashi used one hand to grab her shoulder and gently placed the other on her chest, "Hey, hey, hey. It's okay. Just breathe. I'm right here, okay? Just breathe..."

He made sure her eyes were looking into his as he spoke to her. Soon, her breathing was steadied and she sighed, "Akaashi, you need to go. I'm not sure why you sent that text but we can't be together. Jos my family. And me being with you would make things way worse than they already are."

"You always say that and we always end up together."

"I mean it this time."

"I love you, Y/N. I'm leaving my fiance for you. Is that not what you want?"

Y/N stared at him a little longer before closing her eyes shut.

She was going to miss his beautiful face..

"No. I'm sorry. You need to go."

He stayed frozen for a second before standing up and leaving.

Akaashi felt frustrated.

Why would she call him over only to kick him out?

Walking into his apartment, Jo was sitting there, waiting for him.

He sighed, forgetting she had a spare key.

"What do you want?"

She tilted her head, "That's some attitude you're giving your fiance, don't you think?"

"Listen, Jo, I'm-"

"In love with my best friend? Yeah, I don't think so."

"What?"

She stood up and walked over to him, fixing his collar with a small smile on her face, "You know, your parents would be soo angry with you if you don't marry me. I never told you this but, our parents have a deal. I'm not sure what it's about but your family is going to benefit from mine considering how much more money my family has. And you don't want your parents to go broke, do you? Isn't that why you work so hard? To help them?"

"What're you-"

"And oh! They'd also be so upset to know that their lovely son that they raised properly cheated on his beautiful fiance with someone whos ultimately a nobody compared to her. They'd probably disown you."

His eyebrows furrowed as he grabbed her wrists, taking her hands off him, "Hey. That's your best friend. The only person who's ever actually loved you. Don't talk about her that way."

"I'm just saying! Your parents would never accept Y/N. And they'd never forgive you for letting me go. My parents could ruin your life."

"Are....are you okay? Are you sick? Is there a reason you're acting this way?"

"I love you! And we are getting married next week. And Y/N is not allowed anywhere near the venue. I suggest you forget about her because you're never going to see her again. After we get married, we're moving to the states. I've got all your transfer papers done already and-"

"You're fucking crazy. Are you seriously threatening me into staying with you? Why should I believe a word you're saying?"

"Do I look like I'm kidding?"

The two stared at each other for a second.

Looking into her eyes, he knew she was hurt and angry, and is really doing whatever it took to keep him.

And what made this worse, is that he actually believed her.

Her family was powerful and could end his whole world if she pouted and batted her eyes.

His silence made her smile and she got on her tiptoes, kissing his cheek, "Thought so. Now come, there's a final thing we need to do to ensure our wedding is perfect."
