the midnight I met him part 32

           Yuna: (steps in, taking Haneul's bite on her arm) Haneul, stop! It's me, Yuna.

Haneul (now a wolf): (growls, but doesn't let go of Yuna's arm)

Yuna: (speaks softly, trying to comfort him) Haneul, remember me? We kissed, we confessed our love for each other. We promised to never leave each other's side.

Haneul (now a wolf): (snarls, but his grip on Yuna's arm loosens slightly)

Yuna: (continues to speak sweetly) Remember how happy we were? How much we loved each other? That hasn't changed, Haneul. I still love you, no matter what.

Haneul (now a wolf): (looks up at Yuna, his eyes gleaming in the dark)

Yuna: (smiles softly) I know you're still in there, Haneul. I can see it in your eyes. Come back to me, okay?

(Haneul's grip on Yuna's arm loosens further, and he looks at her with a hint of recognition)

Vector: (outraged) No! Haneul, attack her!

Haneul (now a wolf): (looks at Vector, then back at Yuna, and whines softly)

Yuna: (smiles) That's it, Haneul. Come back to me.

          Vector: (sarcastically) Oh, you pathetic fool. What do you think you're doing? Do you believe he will return to you? He will never be yours again! Ahahahah!

Yuna: (stands her ground, looking at Vector with determination) I don't care what you say, Vector. Haneul and I have a bond that can't be broken.

Vector: (laughs) A bond? Ha! You think a few kisses and sweet words can overcome the power of the pack? He is mine now, body and soul!

Haneul (now a wolf): (whines softly, looking at Yuna with a hint of recognition)

Vector: (sneers) See? He doesn't even recognize you anymore. You're just a stranger to him now.

Yuna: (smiles softly) That's not true, Vector. I can see it in his eyes. He remembers me.

Vector: (outraged) Enough of this! Haneul, attack her now!

(Haneul takes a step back, looking at Vector with a hint of defiance)

Haneul (now a wolf): (growls softly, as if refusing Vector's command)

Vector: (enraged) What?! You dare to disobey me?!
            
          Vector: (clenches his fist and exclaims) You better listen to me! I have your life in my hand!

(As Vector clenches his fist, Haneul's eyes widen in pain and he starts to gasp for air)

Haneul (now a wolf): (chokes and struggles to breathe, his body trembling)

Yuna: (alarmed) Vector, stop! You're hurting him!

Vector: (sneers) Silence! You don't get to speak here!

(Vector's grip on Haneul's life force tightens, causing Haneul to collapse to the ground, gasping for air)

Haneul (now a wolf): (whimpers and struggles to move, his body weakened)

Yuna: (desperate) Vector, please! Stop this!

Vector: (laughs maniacally) You should have stayed out of this, Yuna. Now, Haneul will pay the price for your interference!

(Just as Vector is about to deliver the final blow, Haneul's eyes flash with a hint of his former self)

Haneul (now a wolf): (growls weakly, but with a hint of defiance)

Vector: (pauses, taken aback) What's this? You think you can still resist me? Ahahahah!
             
       Vector: (sarcastically) Ah, this is my realm. I get to choose what happens inside it. Well, Mrs. Lee, you can watch your so-called son die, because you can't use your power in my realm. And Joonoh, say goodbye to your older brother! (laughs maniacally) Ahahahah!

(Joonoh's eyes widen in horror as Vector launches his power towards Haneul)

Vector: (exclaims) Ahead! Haneul, stay there, weekend. You can see your love and say goodbye to her as well!

(Just as Vector's power is about to hit Yuna, Haneul's head suddenly manages to break free from Vector's control)

Haneul (now a wolf): (moves swiftly and takes the hit of Vector's power, protecting Yuna)

Yuna: (shocked) Haneul!

Haneul (now a wolf): (collapses to the ground, injured but alive)

Vector: (outraged) No! How did you...?!

Mrs. Lee: (tearfully) Haneul, no!

Joonoh: (determined) Vector, you'll pay for this!
            
          Haneul (now a wolf): (manages to sit up, his voice burning with anger) No one hurts Yuna! (he exclaims angrily, power burning inside him)

(Haneul's eyes glow with a fierce determination, his body trembling with rage)

Vector: (takes a step back, surprised by Haneul's sudden surge of power) Impossible... You can't break free from my control...

Haneul (now a wolf): (snarls, his voice low and menacing) I'll show you what's impossible... (he growls, his power burning brighter)

(Haneul's body begins to transform, his muscles growing stronger, his senses heightening)

Yuna: (awed) Haneul...

Mrs. Lee: (hopeful) Haneul, you can do it!

Joonoh: (determined) We'll help you, Haneul! Let's take down Vector together!

(Vector takes a step back, his eyes widening in fear as Haneul's power continues to grow)

Haneul (now a wolf): (exclaims, his voice thundering) I'LL PROTECT YUNA, NO MATTER WHAT! (he unleashes his power, a blast of energy shooting towards Vector)
                               
         Haneul (now a wolf): (unleashes his power, a blast of energy shooting towards Vector)

(Vector tries to defend himself, but Haneul's power is too strong, and he is turned into a stone)

Haneul (now a wolf): (collapses, his body weak from using too much power)

Mrs. Lee: (quickly approaches, carrying Haneul in her arms) Haneul, my son!

(She quickly takes all 4 of them - Haneul, Yuna, Joonoh, and the stone statue of Vector - into her realm)

Mrs. Lee: (relieved) We're safe now. We're in my realm.

Yuna: (concerned) Haneul, he's not waking up!

Mrs. Lee: (worried) I know, dear. He used too much power. We need to get him to rest.

Joonoh: (determined) We'll protect him, Mrs. Lee. We won't let Vector or anyone else hurt him again.

Mrs. Lee: (smiling) Thank you, Joonoh. Let's get Haneul to safety.

(The scene ends with Mrs. Lee carrying Haneul, Yuna and Joonoh by her side, and the stone statue of Vector being dragged behind them, as they journey deeper into Mrs. Lee's realm)
