Baby Chase

The new pup

Recap;

*So Zuma, Tracker, and Chase are sleep using the same beanbag, but Rocky comes over to where they are, and being the intellgent pup he is, he decides to join them sleeping*

Ryder says *quietly*, " Aww," that is so sweet what Zuma and Rocky are doing for Tracker. They are being father figures for him and that's really nice!"

*After saying that, Ryder goes over to the thermostat and turns it up to take the chill out of the room, then once it's warm and the pups are sleepling comfortablly, he heads into his own bedroom to prepare for bed himself*

Then Ryder said, " To himself, I have a big surprise for all the pups tomorrow morning."

The night was quiet - Tacker was enjoying Zuma and Rocky's company, it reminded him of when he was with his mommy sucking on her belly and drinking her milk. He was happy and content until...

The wind was blowing really hard outside, and it caused a telephone wire to snap, thus turning the power off.

Tracker *opens his eyes* and says, " What happened to the heat? It's so cold in here, and why does it feel so dark? I thought Ryder put on night lights for us. I don't like the dark!"

Tracker cries out, "Ryder! Ryder!"

Tracker (still yelling): Ryder!

Ryder (rubbing his eyes) says, " What's with all the commotion out here?"

(Ryder feels the cold draft in the room)

Ryder says, "Brr! It cold out here!"

Tracker says, " Ryder, something is wrong with the lights! It's dark!"

Ryder says, " Calm down, Tracker, I will see what's wrong." and notices the fallen wire outside.

Zuma wakes up and says , " What is going on, and why is it so cold and dark?"

Ryder says, " I guess the windstorm outside broke a few wires outside, and the power went down because of it."

Zuma says, " To Tracker it is oh ok just go back to sleep and I will go talk to Ryder and see how long this take to fix it oh ok."

Tracker says, " I will try to Zuma."

Zuma says, " Excuse me, Ryder? Do you know how long it'll take for these repairs to be fixed? Why I ask is because I need something to help keep Chase and Tracker warm and snug."

Ryder says, " I am not sure, Zuma, but I do have some quilts stored away. Let me go get them."

So Ryder goes and looks for the quilts, but first, he calls Mayor Goodway.

Mayor Goodway says, " Yes, Ryder."

Ryder says, " I know what caused the power to go out, Mayor Goodway."

Mayor Goodway says, " You do? Can you come to help us get it back on Ryder?"

Ryder says, " Yes, I can. If you can give me a minute or two, I will get some of the pups ready to go, and we will meet you at town hall."

Mayor Goodway says, " Oh ok, Ryder, I will be here waiting for you." Then she hangs up the phone.

(This part is happening when Ryder is getting the quilts and is on the phone with Mayor Goodway.)

Then Chase goes over to Zuma and says, " Daddy, I am scared, and please do not get mad at me, but I got so scared that I had an accident on the floor."

Zuma says, " Aww, you did? That is, oh, ok, son."
