8. Spin the Bottle

Aria's POV:

Finally, after an hour of driving and being stuck in traffic, I made it to the party. As I entered the party venue, I saw the party was blooming, the music in background was complementing, other students were arriving and mingled various costumes.

I stood outside, my heart racing as I adjusted my outfit for one last time. My tight, mini white nurse uniform clung to my curves, the short hemline revealing pretty much everything I paired it up with a fence net. The red belt around my tiny waist and the deep neckline made my cleavage look heavenly.

I knew it was risky—this wasn't and could never be my usual style. But something about tonight was different. Maybe it was because I thought the unknown sender was an Allard brother.

With a deep breath, I finally went inside. My eyes scanned the hall until I found them. They both stood by the drinks counter beside each other with random girls throwing themselves on them.

Kylain and Adrian both gazes locked onto me the moment I walked in. Adrian's smirk faltered, eyes narrowing as he took in my outfit. I could practically feel the heat of his gaze as it roved over my body, lingering on every exposed inch of my skin. It was satisfying to see him thrown off balance, even if just for a second. But I wasn't done yet.

I turned my attention to Kylian. He was dressed as a vampire lord with a sleek black suit, a high-collared cape, pale makeup, and fangs. He was the complete opposite of Adrian in so many ways, friendly, and always up for some fun. I sauntered over to Kylian, letting my hips sway seductively with each step. His eyes lit up the moment he saw me, a low whistle escaping his lips. "Damn, Aria, you're killing that costume," he said, his gaze appreciatively playful.

"Is that so?" I stepped closer to him and ran a finger down the line of his shirt, feeling the hard muscle beneath the fabric. "Don't you think it's too much?"

"Too much?" he chuckled, placing a hand on my waist, and pulling me closer. "Nah, as long you are here it's beautiful!"

I moved closer pressing my head over Kylian's as I whispered in such a way that Adrian could hear me, "I'm glad you think this way." I could feel the tension rising between me and Kylian but my eyes flicked back to Adrian, who was watching us with a disgusted face and with despair.

Adrian's jaw was clenched tight, as he glared at the sight of Kylian's hand on my waist. The jealousy in his eyes was undeniable, and I felt delighted in every second of it. I knew exactly what I was doing, and so did Adrian.

Adrian abhorred me, but couldn't figure out why everything I was doing was affecting him. He finally broke the silence, "Careful, Miss My baby brother loves breaking hearts." His voice is deep and possessive.

I shot Adrian a defiant look, refusing to let him intimidate me. "He won't be able to break mine as some believe it's made up of stone, Mr. Allard." I replied, my voice dripping with challenge.

Adrian's ice-blue eyes got darker, and his look became more intense, his gaze now flickering between me and Kylian.

"Oh, Is it?" he mumbled, his voice low and dangerous. "Now, excuse us, Kylian and I are going to play Spin the Bottle with the rest. You too can join, if you want."

As we walked there, the area buzzed with the energy of the party, laughter and teasing filling the air as the circle of fellow mates gathered around the spinning bottle. I found myself seated across from Kylian. My nurse costume was still hugging my curves perfectly, drawing glances from more than just Kylian. There came Adrian, leaning casually against the wall with a glass of whiskey.

Adrian's eyes were on me, filled with irritation, though his expression remained composed. He wasn't playing, his mere presence was enough to command attention. My whole reason for joining this silly game was to get under his skin, to make him jealous, and to see if I could crack that cool, indifferent deception. I didn't know I was playing with fire and this fire could burn me, completely.
