Zukira found herself standing in the middle of the kitchen, her left eye twitching as Yu gathered some ingredients while Tsubasa was in charge of preheating the oven and all.
"We'll be making some homemade pizza!"
She heard Yu's voice ring in her ears and let out a sigh, placing a hand on her temple. "Are we sure this is a good idea, Yu? It's...been a while since I last made pizza-"
"Oh hush now, Zuki," Yu grabbed the tomatoes from the fridge, "there's no harm in blowing up the kitchen once in a while."
"Once in a while?! You've done this before?" she turned towards Tsubasa in disbelief who shook his head in response, "oh. How was the damage recovered though?"
"It was easy, really," Yu stood on his tippy-toes and placed the tomatoes on the counter, "Doji was the one who got everything covered."
"Riiight..." Zukira replied as she took off her coat and hung it on the chair nearby. "I assume he doesn't mind, then?" she rolled her sleeves up and tied her hair back.
"Yeah, yeah," Yu shook his hand in the air, "he doesn't say anything."
The way he's so confident kind of scares me... Zukira took hood of the dough and placed it beside the tomatoes, "So like- where's the cookbook?"
"Who needs a cookbook when you have Tsubasa?! Right, Tsubasa? He only knows how to pizza, that's all," the boy snickered.
"Wow, very funny, Yu," Tsubasa replied bluntly, "might as well not help you with the pizza then."
"HEY! You can't do that!" he turned towards the white-headed boy, both hands on his hips.
Zukira let out a giggle at their bickering, "Now, now. Let's not get too excited, alright? This pizza isn't gonna make itself, y'know," she took off her gloves and stuffed them into her coat's pocket.
Blowing a raspberry at him, Yu turned towards Zukira and placed his little hands on the counter.
"Alright...since the dough's already made, first step is simple: flatten out the dough,"
Zukira slowly begun to pull towards the centre the width of where the crust would end and pushed down slightly with her fingers. She continued to do so until the crust had formed all around the dough.
"Woah..." Yu's murmured, his forest eyes widening in amazement, "you really know what you're doing, Zuki."
The brunette chuckled, "Don't worry, Yu. When you get older, you'll know how to do this as well," she took a step back and studied the dough. It was how it should be, like a disk with a flat middle and thick-looking pinched sides.
"Okaaay, if my memory doesn't fail me, you toss the dough next...um...I just hope it doesn't tear."
She took a deep breath and took the dough into one hand, immediately tossing it into the other one while pulling at the edge of the dough to stretch it with her first hand.
"Woah!" she stumbled on her step and nearly fell but steadied herself. "That was close...or else the dough would've been splatted on the floor."
"Woah, that was so cool!! Again! Again!!!" Yu hyped her up, his smile widening and fists clenched.
"Okay! Okay! I'm...no professional though," she retorted, repeating the process for a while.
However right towards the end, she tossed the dough a little too high and it ended up splatting on her face, the dough stretching down like melting chocolate.
