I can't believe this is happening. What is going on? How can all that has just happened be a lie?
1 year earlier
I open my eyes and the sounds of birds quickly fill my ears. I must've fallen asleep out here.
The previous night was a blur; I had my debs (prom) after-party. Only Fifth and Sixth Years were allowed. It was one of the greatest things in my life. Basically the whole school was invited to my parents' 4 acre pond, and there was a huge dance flood and tons of food. My parents had a local band play, and they were amazing. It was basically a second debs, except alcohol was allowed. My parents made me promise not to have any alcohol, and I was a good girl, so I followed their rule.
As I go back into the house, I look at the clock, and I can tell that it's only eight thirty in the morning. No wonder I was so knackered still, I said to myself. The party ended at four or five in the morning, and I would have only had three hours at most so far. I head upstairs, and fall back asleep on my bed.
When I wake up again, my room is considerably lighter, meaning that it must be into the afternoon because my room is on the south side of the house. I look around my room, admiring all of the various One Direction posters on my walls. There had to be at least a hundred of them. One Direction was my favourite band, and I've been watching them from the start. They are a British-Irish pop boy band that originated from my favourite show, The X-Factor. I can't sing very well, otherwise I would audition for the show.
"Paige, it's time for lunch!" her mum called from downstairs.
"Let me get dressed, Mum. I'll be down in a few minutes!" she called back.
She got dressed and combed her long wavy brown hair. She was about ready to go downstairs, when she noticed that she wasn't wearing any make-up, so she put some on. Finally, she headed downstairs, and noticed right away that everyone was sitting at the kitchen table eating lunch, just like her mum said a few minutes ago. She grabbed two sandwiches, headed over to the table, and sat by her brother, Jacob.
"Why must you always have to eat so much, you pig." her brother retorted at her.
She disregarded him, and directed herself upstairs with her ham sandwiches because she didn't want to listen to him.
God, he's such a dick.
She turned on her laptop, and headed onto Twitter and YouTube, her two favourite websites. While she was on Twitter, her best friend Kayla messaged her:
"heyy Paige. u remember tht we hav the 1D concert tonite? call me i got to ask u something. xo"
She grabbed her phone, and dialled Kayla's number. There was only one thing she disliked about Kayla. She was always so loud. It was annoying how loud she was. She always got made fun of it, and Paige could have been a lot more popular without her, but she didn't care. She was amazing. When Kayla answered the phone, Kayla started the conversation by gossiping about people at the party the previous night. She started by talking about this girl, Kristin, who was acting like a total slut at the party.
"Did you see how short her pants were?" Kayla shouted to me on the phone.
"Oh my god, I know, right! Like, I've seen short shorts, but the ones that she was wearing were so short that you could see her underwear. It was gross. I didn't even invite that slut!" I said back on the phone.
"So are you excited for the concert?" Kayla asked.
"Yes. Oh my god, you don't even know. Niall is going to look gorgeous." I said holding back myself from fangirling right there and then.
