"Are you sure about this, hyung?" Seongwha shoved another towel into the pool bag, rummaging through it to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything.

"Of course. You boys deserve it and I know how much the little ones have been looking forward to this" Hongjoong nodded, packing the snack bag. Seongwha knew this was going to be a terrible idea but it was better to let Hongjoong figure that out on his own.

"Are we leaving now!?" Wooyoung ran over, already dressed in his swim trunks. Mingi, San and Jongho were right behind him. Yunho and Yeosang walked in next, putting down all the water bottles that they had filled up.

"Yes, we are. First, there's some rules we need to go over" Hongjoong stopped all of them before anyone could run out to the car and start fighting over seats.

"Of course there are" Yunho sighed, crossing his arms. He didn't look upset about the rules though, just resigned to it.

"First off, nobody except Seongwha and I go into the deep end and you all will respect the pool rules, clear?" Hongjoong started off. He listed a few other rules but they were all pretty obvious even before he said them. And finally, the eight brothers could go to the pool. Hongjoong sat back, after getting all of the boys to put sunscreen on and watched his younger brothers. It was not long before things went wrong.

"Jongho, you cannot go in the deep end. Hongjoong-hyung already told you that" Seongwha caught the maknae, pulling him back over to the kids side of the pool. Hongjoong looked up from the book that he was reading, giving Jongho a warning stare. Jongho swam back to the kid's section and decided to just sit on the stairs, sulking. Hongjoong watched him for a moment before something else caught his attention.

"Wooyoung, if you jump on your brother one more time, you can come sit next to me!" Hongjoong warned. Wooyoung looked over, frowning.

"But it's fun!" Wooyoung complained. Hongjoong closed his book, sitting up.

"It's not fun for your brother, is it? You think he enjoys you trying to drown him?" Hongjoong motioned to Mingi, who was wiping the water from his face again. Wooyoung looked over at his brother and then back at Hongjoong.

"No, I guess not. I'm sorry Mingi-hyung" Wooyoung hugged Mingi and then they went back to playing quietly with San and Jongho. Yunho and Yeosang were off to the side of the pool, talking in hushed whispers. Hongjoong watched them, suspicious of what they were doing. Maybe Seongwha had been right, and this was a bad idea.

"Hey hyung, can we go get some snacks?" Yunho and Yeosang walked over, nervous. Hongjoong considered saying yes but he hadn't brought much money with him, not expecting to need it, and they had plenty of snacks which he had packed himself.

"Sorry boys, we have snacks already. You can pick what you want from the bag" Hongjoong grabbed the snack bag, opening it. Yunho frowned and Yeosang's lips curled down into a disgusted grimace.

"No thanks. We're not hungry" Yunho walked off again with Yeosang. Hongjoong shook his head but didn't think anything of it and went back to his book. He zoned out for a bit while reading and when he came back to reality, it took a moment for Hongjoong to realize that one of the boys was missing.

"Yunho, where is Yeosang?" Hongjoong wondered, looking to Yunho since he was the last one with Yeosang. The younger teen looked away, not saying anything. Hongjoong closed his book again and got up.

"Kim Yunho, where is Yeosang?" Hongjoong crouched down beside Yunho, waiting for an answer.

"He went...to get some snacks" Yunho tried not to let his voice crack but he still wasn't looking at Hongjoong.
