"Maya." Pedri says as he opens my door and then walks in. "I'm bored."
I look up from my laptop and see how he closes the door behind him and then comes and lays next to where I'm sitting down on my bed.
"What do you want me to do?" I ask, turning back to my laptop and continuing typing.
"Entertain me, you're my girlfriend, do something." He complains as he starts to play with the ends of my hair that rest just below my elbow.
"I'm writing an essay." I say and he sighs.
"All you do is write essays, it's a Saturday." He says and then the door opens.
"We're going out tonight!" Ferran exclaims, throwing his hands up.
"Not me." I say.
"What? Why?" Ferran furrows his brows.
"I need to finish this essay." I say, pointing at my laptop.
"You're so boring." Ferran huffs. "Pedri?"
"I would but I'm having dinner with Fer. Brother night." He says. "So no can do, sorry."
"You two are such losers." Ferran says. "Literally the only twenty-one years olds in the whole house but you won't even go out."
"Oh, go cry about it." Pedri mutters.
"Boohoo." I say, not even looking at Ferran.
"Why are you in here?" Ferran asks, looking at Pedri.
"I was bored." He shrugs.
"You want to play FIFA?" Ferran asks.
"I'll come down in a minute." Pedri says and Ferran nods before he closes my door and I hear him go down the stairs.
"When you go to Fer's, can you ask him for the recipe for those lemon muffins he made for our date yesterday?" I ask Pedri.
"I'm not going to Fer's." He says.
"What? Why? Go." I say.
"It was a lie." He says. "Fer's literally out of town today. He went to visit his friend in Girona."
"So why would you lie?" I furrow my brows, looking at him.
"Because I wanted to spend tonight with you." He says and I smile at him. "They'll all be gone so it'll be just us."
"Awh, you're cute." I say as I lean down to place a kiss on his forehead.
He leaves shortly after to join Ferran and I try to finish as much of my essay as I can so that I can actually spend the evening with Pedri.
For some reason, but with no complaints from me, they actually leave really early because at six thirty. Pedri told them that he needs to be at Fer's at seven and since Fer lives only ten minutes away, it wasn't weird that he was still at home when they were leaving.
"Will you survive without us, Mayita?" João asks.
"Alone in such a big house." Pablo says.
"I might survive, yeah." I play on.
"She's a big girl." Elisa says.
"Exactly that." I nod, clicking my tongue. "Off you go now."
They leave after saying their goodbyes and then Pedri turns to me. "They're plain fucking stupid."
"No, because they really are." I say. "How they haven't realised yet makes me question if they're actually smart at all."
"It's good they're this stupid." He says as he nears me and puts his hands on my waist. "At least I can do this." He whispers before joining our lips. I put my hands around his neck as he pulls me towards him closer.
