Chapter - 38

"What do you mean Taehyung is nowhere to be found?" I almost yell in panic. I was in the headquarters, as a new mission was accomplished today so as the head, I had to congratulate them. This whole week was really hectic and I had spent almost the whole time in the office collecting information, tracking locations and ensuring the safety of the assassin's.

Then Jungkook came and at first I thought it was related to some new mission, but then he said Taehyung is nowhere to be found since last 2 days. Due to my work I stayed back in the office, and obviously I had him informed but I had no conversation with him. I thought it was because he understood the emergency, but now I was feeling guilty.

I had planned to make it up after the task is completed, but my heart dropped at the news. "Why didn't you tell me before, Jungkook?" I asked him my voice shaking with anxiety. I tried to calm myself down taking a deep breath and massaged the temple of my forehead. I will have to find him out as soon as possible. After I was recognized as the famous assassin, it didn't take the media less time to know that the top CEO of Korea was dating me. And thus now the risks of having enemy attacks were more.

"Don't be so worried, I am sure he will be safe." Jungkook tried to assure me, but it couldn't help me at all.

"It's not that easy Jungkook, did you forget what happened last time, if I had not reached on time, he and oppa would have got killed. We need to rush right now. Let's go to the control room and find his location." Jungkook didn't said anything any further and we rushed towards the control room. All of the workers stood up in courtesy and greeted me with a bow.

"I need the location of Kim Taehyung right now. No matter where he is from any point of the world, I need the location." Everyone heard me loud and clear and immediately started searching. And surprisingly, it didn't take more than a minute to track him. He was very close to where our house was and I immediately got the details of the location.

Something seemed weird due to the fact the he was so close to the mansion, but at that time I was too much worried for him to think anything else. After noting down the location I looked at Jungkook, "I will go by myself to rescue him."

"I will go with you too." I gave a nod and we immediately left the head quarters in my car. I speeded towards the location, while Jungkook sat quietly saying nothing. I didn't say anything either as I thought it must be because he was anxious and scared after all they are brothers.

We reached the location, and I saw the big building, it was dark because it was 9 pm in the night. The only light was my flashlight. The big building that looked like was under construction had me off guard. I noticed some foot prints going towards the back of the building. I looked towards Jungkook having a silent conversation with him through my eyes.

We decided on following the foot prints, I pulled out my gun for safety and loaded it, however half way through, I stopped. The lights shone brighter than the day light creating a stark contrast to the outer darkness. It looked like I have suddenly stepped into a different world. I roamed my eyes around here and there, at a little bit more distance the balloons and flowers had the whole place well decorated.

It looked so beautiful; I walked closer to the decorations, my eyes falling on the big writing. Before I could read it someone else read it aloud, "Will you marry me?" My heart started beating faster as when I turned around; Taehyung was on his one knee, with an open red box in his hand, and my eyes fell on that beautiful 24 carat diamond ring.

"Min Y/N, do you remember the first day we met in the mall? That day our fates made us collide with each other and since then I can guarantee you nothing stayed the same. I was at first attracted to how beautiful you were. Your brown eyes, honey skin, black wavy hair and a perfect smile on your lips. Everything was attractive, and I had a hard time figuring out what can be my most favourite part of yours because I liked everything about you.
